Is It Possible To Return Games For A Refund On Amazon?

I've never returned a game on Amazon but as much as I used to love NCAA, not being able to hear the custom music completely ruins the atmosphere for me.

Has anyone ever returned a game to Amazon and will they do it? I think they should because it's not like I tried a game out and didn't like it...there are some serious flaws/bugs in this game which render some advertised features useless.

From the Amazon website:

Computer and video games purchased from Amazon.com and most sellers are easily returned within 30 days of receipt of shipment. These items must be unopened and still in their plastic wrap.

So no, you can't return it for a full refund once it's been opened. Amazon does have a trade in program where you can return like new games for store credit though. Also it looks like you can return it for 50% of its value per the above poster.

Thanks for the replies. I would think their policy applies to games with no major issues. I feel like I bought an apple but received a lemon so maybe they'll have a different policy when the game is not as advertised.

I've never done this before. I'll let you guys know what I find out.

But like the posters above said you can't get a full refund for a already opened game. Other wise everyone in the country would open an return games left an right.

Yeah, I worked at Hills and we accepted opened games for a full refund. Guess where Hills is now? Nowhere. They are bankrupted. That's where they are.

As for the OP, music, seriously? That's what Xbox Tracks are for. Cmon..

The only way they'd see the game as defective is if the disc literally wouldn't play. We go through this argument every year.

I always enjoy watching someone go into a battle they cant win. Go ahead and tell them that the game is defective because the music doesnt work correctly. I for one do not see the problem so many people are having with the game day sounds anyway. I for one am a fan of country music, there isnt much country music on these playlist, but Im not trying to send the game back because it doesnt have my genre of music. lol

Almost all retailers will give you a refund for a game or a movie if you return it unopened but if you try to return it after opening some will let you return it for a new copy of the exact same item. They would probably tell you to try gamefly next time.

There's a few things you can do:

• Wait and see if EA patches
• Sell it on Amazon
• Trade it in on Amazon/Gamestop
• Sell it on eBay
• Sell/Trade it on Craigslist
• Sell/Trade it to a friend

No company will take back an unopened game for a full refund. Sorry.

It's interesting that the 90-day warranty is limited to the medium and manual (which is on the disc, isn't it?) and not the software on the disc. Unless your state forces EA (or any other publisher) to extend the warranty to the software on the disc, even a warranty return/refund is out of the question.

I'm with you on the custom sounds issue being a game killer. Unless you have custom sounds working the atmosphere is terrible - like playing in a graveyard. Its ridiculous that the bug exists. Do they have a QA process at all at ea?
