Really dissappointed in the freezes...wow

The freezing issue is worse this year than last year. I didn't think it could get any worse, but it did. I'm not putting this in the bug/glitches thread because this isn't one particular incident and it traverses the entire game. It is a talking point that should be discussed and handled by EA ASAP. Freezes are the main issue that needs to be addressed. It kills dynasties and the user loses valuable time by having to restart the game on the console.

I've played roughly 10 hours of the game so far and it has frozen 3 times while performing different tasks in the game.

- froze while I was on the main recruiting screen (where you can choose to search for prospect, select recruiting board, see top classes, etc...)
- froze while I was actually recruiting a prospect
- froze while creating a custom playbook

I'm talking hard freeze here. I have to kill the game and restart.

I thought that EA fixed all the freezing issues. I HOPE that the EA fixed the freezes for human vs human games in online dynasty. This KILLED most online dynasties last year, including the one I was in, which has been going on ever since online dynasties were added to the game.

I cant even finish a dynasty game. Has frozen at halftime in every (3) game i've tried thus far. Maddening (no pun intended at all.....)

Which system? And do you have it downloaded to the hard drive?

had mine freeze probably half a dozen times in a week now. probably played 50 hours so far. so in all honesty im probably averaging a freeze every 6-8 hours of playing. these are freezes where i have to completely reboot system and start back over. it is not limited to one screen, it is random. ive froze recruiting, week schedule screen, looking at hesiman, offseason, etc. it doesnt seem to be any worse than last year, as i remember constant freezing as well. this game has so many crashes it is ridiculous. i can play any other game for 2 days straight and not have one crash and can have 3 - 4 in one all day gaming session of ncaa. it has been this way since the ps2 days. i remember some years literally having to save after every single game and recruiting week. i could never sim through multiple weeks for fear of having to restart. ea really needs to work on sustaining stability and limiting freezes.

PS3. No, I bought the game in a store and use a disk. Maybe I should clean the disk? It just freezes at randoms spots.

internet connection and 360 going out can cause these also. had tons of probs till i got a new xbox last year. no one freeze since last friday when i got early release. I have my xbox hardwired also now. so either the new xbox or the hard line fixed my issues.

This is exactly what happens to me. One thing that might cause the freeze is trying to move around on the screen before the page fully loads. I'm impatient and try to move around while the page is still loading.

I don't remember the game ever freezing on me last year inside the menus. It only froze when I was trying to play other humans in my online dynasty or right after I finished a game and it was loading .

Ive had it freeze mid game several times, also had it freeze when trying to start a game in dynasty mode it gets to the loading screen and hard freezes the xbox.

Def a major issue, to those who arent having the issue I would say you are lucky and its probably a matter of time before it happens. Not sure what exactly triggers it.

I'm getting the same exact thing i cant finish a dynasty game without it freezing and i've tried like 4 different dynastys. its real frustrating and i want to get into a dynasty but just cant. xbox 360 btw

There's another thread about some of these issues. An EA rep commented in the thread that they are looking into the freezing issues.

I've never complained about freezes before in a video game. Almost everygame I bought has froze at some point.

But man, NCAA 12 was the worst case of freezing I ever experienced. Worst than anything I experienced on genesis, snes, n64, ps1, ps2, or ps3.

At one point, the game froze during a rivalry game in the 3rd or 4th quarter. I bit my teeth, restarted it and replayed the game only to have it freeze yet again. I was so angry, I just turned the game off and didn't play it again for some weeks. I think I simmed the game, lost interest in my dynasty and ended up trading in the game a few weeks later.

Def top 5 on most frustrating parts of that game.

I am very curious about peoples experiences with freezing in 13.
