been using this as well.. it think this is the best generic playbook in the game..

The Shotgun-Spread formation has HB direct snap and hB shuffle pass (Mid Screen) in it.

I don't know of a best formation, but I like some of the Ace ones. Incorporate good running plays with West Coast passing trees designed to beat defenses in certain ways so you can mix it up a lot.
