Are you deadset on a laptop? If you are I suggest not building one because they are tricky to build for someone who's a "PC noob". Desktops on the other hand are easy to build and would save you $. And are you just getting this laptop to play games like NBA 2k or do you have other high end games in mind?

Yes, I ultimately just want a laptop to hook up to my hdtv. I'm getting the laptop for mainly nba 2k.

yes i read both first post and title.. so its the amount of teams (257)? what kind of teams are those 257? classic ones? and rookies for 2013, is that next years class of rookies or this years? are the implemented in the game as draft class or free agents? hope somebody can clarify it for me!

Yes, I ultimately just want a laptop to hook up to my hdtv. I'm getting the laptop for mainly nba 2k.

I just bought a lap top for 600 few months ago and i can run the on max settings, so i no need to get a high performance desktop pc for nba2k!

The rookies for 2013 are all on their correct teams. And Ill just give you a few of my favorite teams/players from the list of 257:
- 2001 76ers with Iverson and Mutumbo (I love hogging the ball with Iverson)
- 2001 Lakers
- Reggie Miller (been asking for him for years for the PS3 version)
- Charles Barkley
- The Knicks with Latrell Sprewell
All these teams have the correct players with faces on them. The other teams are a collection of great or popular teams from the 50s to present.

Basically this. If your getting a laptop strictly for 2k then you don't need a $1200 laptop. A good laptop between $600-$800 would easliy do the trick.

just got this and wow i just cant believe how good this is...was laggy at frist but i disconnected the ethernet cord and that seem to clear it up

its asking me to overwrite certain files when copying it into the game folder. now im using plenty of mods, arenas dornas faces. im afraid of losing some of it. what to do, what does it overwrite=

I had this issue as well...all you have to do is after you create your account save it by overwriting the old settings. I saved over both settings and the unlock settings...after that no more recreating the account.

Hey, I've been having this same problem and overwriting the old settings hasn't worked for me. It's been really annoying cause I've had to create like 10 accounts...

Once the game reaches the main menu, should I go to the load section, load up unlock settings and ultimate rosters, then save those over roster and settings?
