I need help. I started a dynasty with a set of rosters that only had 25 players on the 40 man roster. I went ahead and started the regular season assuming that the cpu would fill out the 40 man roster automatically. After playing a hand full of games I noticed that it had not added player to the 40 man roster. This causes problems because when someone goes on the DL nobody is called up. Is there any way to get the computer teams to add players to the 40 man roster or will it eventually do so on its own?

that's what i meant, i was in a hurry on my phone. There are a lot of versions of the OSFM, and I see yours and that's the revision i want and run with. it's like a SCEA trusted roster update, and i'm a stickler for authenticity. "Often imitated, never duplicated.":wink:

I correctly fill out my 40 man rosters with the only down side being on opening day guys who should be in the minors make the team. Usually the best 25 on the roster make it. But if a player goes to the DL usually a players contract would be purchased. Usually it would be the best player with an 'A' potential at that position (Pitcher or Fielder). If it isnt doing that, than I would just add about 5 players to each teams 40-man before starting a Franchise and let the game do the rest.

Dear Ridin,

In my July 14 message I indicated that Jeff Baisley needs to be replaced in the Detroit franchise in your next update.

Please note that on July 15 Detroit released Ryan Strieby (1b). He should be replaced by Dan Dorn who was signed by Detroit and is now playing 1b at Toledo. Dorn had been released from Louisville (AAA).

Hey guys I have quick question regarding the 25 man roster file. Since the 40 man rosters only have 25 on them, and say someone goes on the DL, will the computer teams automatically replace the player on the MLB roster? I am using a one team control franchise and I am just curious to see if thats what happens since the 40 man rosters are not filled out completely.

I hate to bother you guys, but I'm in the middle of my franchise and don't want to take a chance on downloading the latest patch. So, needless to say I can't download anything from the vault since I don't have the latest patch installed. If at all possible, could someone upload the latest OSFM rosters to sendspace? I need a few players that weren't in the version I started my franchise with. (Sheets, Fien, De Vries etc.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry for a comlete newb question, but I downloaded the roster and uzipped the rar file. How do I get upload the roster to the ps3?

Or should I just use the Vault feature and download from there?

The vault is way easier. If you wanna go zip, the step by step has been posted in this thread previously. Might only be a couple of pages back

Shogun, here are the step by step directions on how to download the rosters.

1. Once you load up the game and are at the MLB12 The Show, go to the online features section
2. Once you are there, you will see a place called vaults
3. Select the Vaults section
4. Once you select vaults, you will see player vault or roster vault, select roster vault
5. If you want ridins latest set, once you get to the list of rosters, scroll over until the percentage rated section is highlighted
6. Hit the square button on the control to sort by how liked the roster is
7. Ridins newest set has around 80 percent feedback, and is dated sometime during July
