Is this the future of golf sims?
Check out this early preview and make sure you view the video clip - absolutely awesome. It looks like a new golf sim is being developed by Perfect Parallel which could leave TW trailing far behind. The guy running this development is a famous course designer of the Links series and a known perfectionist. It all seems to be quite some way from complete, but I for one am drooling already. This could be the video golf simmer's dream come true.

C'mon guys. Games are based on gameplay, not prettiness.Comment

Re: Is this the future of golf sims?
If anyone wants to keep in touch with how this new golf sim is developing he can do so at http://www.perfectparallel.com/. New goodies are added to the dev blog section a couple of times a week. Looks very promising for all who want a real golf sim.Comment

Re: Is this the future of golf sims?
I am a member of the Links community and designed a hand fill of courses myself. Mike Jones and his production team at PP are creating something great trust me when I tell you. This game will allow to play the best courses in the world and design your own. The gameplay will be given some major improvements in comparison to Links 2003 which is already a great sim. This game is going to blow people away.http://pcfriars1213.blogspot.com/ - Coaching Career of Ed Cooley College Hoops 2k8Comment

Tremendous. I can't imagine the processing power that's going to take. Now as long as they don't work in gimmicky E *cough* A crap like buying skill points and distributing them to sub-attributes like some fighting vid game.Comment

Re: Is this the future of golf sims?
I'm really curious to see how this plays out. I know Mike Jones has a penchant for quality course designs, and if they can come up with a game that plays as well as this looks, it will be a real hit, IMO. That's a big if though, but here's hoping!Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

Re: Is this the future of golf sims?
Mike mentioned in one of his recent posts that the game will not have clothing or anything none club related to a difference in how a player plays. Golf clubs dimensions, shafts, and other things will be the only determinant. Thank god it wont be another crap arcade style game like Tiger Woods.http://pcfriars1213.blogspot.com/ - Coaching Career of Ed Cooley College Hoops 2k8Comment

For someone who is trying to sell others on this game that is "something great", crapping all over the competition with comments like yours is going to turn lots of folks off. It's okay to be biased, but you obviously don't know too much about Golf game marketing or you would not make such ridiculous comments.....Last edited by DivotMaker; 08-19-2012, 10:29 PM.PC / Xbox One X

Re: Is this the future of golf sims?
Tiger Woods is a GOOD game for people who do not care about a GOLF SIM. TW is nothing close to a sim. There is a huge difference between golf sims and golf arcade. IMO and to a lot of other sim golfers it is like saying NFL Blitz and Madden are the same. For someone who is trying to sell others on this game that is "something great", crapping all over the competition with comments like yours is going to turn lots of folks off. Re: Is this the future of golf sims?
Well, what was the actual comment? I don't think anyone saying anything about how EA has developed its' golf series is going to truly change anyone's perception. People who have played the game on any platform understand what TW is and is not about. For someone who is trying to sell others on this game that is "something great", crapping all over the competition with comments like yours is going to turn lots of folks off.
