i'm not one of the ones waiting for your roster.... i'm already set..... but i'm just saying, i really think you'd do yourselves a favor releasing an "alpha" version tonight for those that just are cluttering up these forums.... all those same guys will be playing their fingers to the bone for the next 3 weeks ASAP when those rosters come out, which means less stupid posts, less complaining, and more time and clarity for you guys to make a really good roster.... they can then come back for another download a week later, when it's all finished, exactly like you want it to be, and even though they may not like the first version, the second one will blow their face off, so you win not once, but twice.....

i'm just saying, as an impartial bystander to this clusterfucck, that's what i'd do.... again, i'm set.... i got bthomas' roster, redid LSU to my liking, and am rolling in my dynasty.... i just don't like all the moaning, groaning, and complaining by all the little girls here.... it's tired and played out, and most of them probably have no clue the massive amount of work it takes to do these rosters.... i do.... i used to do the rosters before the days of online lockers and uploading files.... took me a month, sometimes two, depending on school (was in college at the time).... 1 week or less is crazy to me, but it can be done, i'm just saying if it were me, i'd appease the masses, then go back to work making the best rosters i can.....

no disrespect, but i totally disagree. They are the ones releasing it and they are the ones with the power, so what if some people become impatient? what can they do? no one knows where to find carson, ck, sapp or anyone else on the project (well 95% of the forums im assuming). if people dont like it tough crap, they can go to another forum doing rosters a.k.a. nowhere. so in 3 days they will be right back here begging for the gamertag to find the rosters.

i would rather them put out all 123 correct then go and fix it, sure i would love to be starting my dynasties tonight actually i cant wait. i used to do the same thing back in the dorms with my friends when we didnt have live or know of this forum and we pounded rosters in a week or so, so im super familiar with the grooling process. this is their project and their time, if they release the roster they are just giving into the public. they have to hold their power so to speak. Again if people cant wait and im one of them, i am a little upset i cant play today , then tough crap to me and everyone. its all worth it.

True. Patience is a virtue. I will start up some RTG and then soak in these delicious rosters come Tuesday. Hahaha

people shouldn't complain how long it takes for the rosters to come out

1. you should be thankful they are doing all the work so you don't have to

2. it's been since january since the last college football game was played so you can wait a afew more days and stop being impacient.

Agreed. Besides, id say a good 90 percent or so who use the rosters want to change things to their liking anyways so if they put out another finalized rosters, then players will have to change things again. Might as well wait.

I think most are disappointed for the fact that it is the weekend and have a day off today so they wanted to play, like me. Ill just have to play on a work night, oh well lol.

They have several other rosters that do not do edits. We're 3/4 of the way done, no reason to change that now.

Over 110+ teams done. Going to finish naming soon and spend a day doing minor tweaks.

Hoping for a late Tuesday release.

Thank you for the all the work that you do. I am new to this site. I will come on here much earlier next year and contribute things to you for ACC teams. Am Willing to still do that now but someone said it was already taken care of, so I guess I showed up too late for that.

that's cool... i was just stating my opinion.... obviously, you have a differing one than i do, but i still maintain that if i were the one with the roster, i'd put it out ASAP just to shut everyone up, with the disclaimer of not 100%, check back for updates in 24-48 hours.... again, this place will be a ghost town when that roster drops, so i'd do it just so i could stop reading "when are they gonna be ready" or "three days? what's taking so long?!....

and it's a "grueling" process.... just sayin':wink:

indirectly, yes.... something to that effect.... Carson's, for 360, will be done Tuesday, and one of the guys for the PS3 roster said it may be done today, but they still have like 13 teams left to name, then they have to check it, so i think everyone is saying Tuesday because of Carson's post and the fact that it looks like the PS3 guys are taking the same approach of naming, checking, then releasing a near perfect roster...

i would have waited for the PS3 one, but with no draft classes to worry about, it makes near 100% accuracy, at least for me, not nearly as important.... the likelihood of having the current 3rd string MLB at San Jose St. being an important player down the road is slim to none.... so for me, naming/editing a majority of the major teams to near perfection, then naming the so-so clubs for release 1 would suffice.... and everyone that has their favorite team can edit rosters just like these guys did, with even more knowledge of the subject than these guys.... you can make your teams as perfect as you want....

@ sportsfan. I understand what you are saying and I'm glad that you approached this in a respectful manner. With that being said, I honestly don't understand anyone raging or insulting people over rosters. I will never understand that. As far as the complaints go.... ehhh people were asking me when I thought we would finish so I did. But I also said it could be longer and told people not to hold me to Sunday so I do think complaints are rather unwarranted as well. But it doesn't really bother me too much honestly so its cool.

As far as over kill taking a couple of days for a few teams... I can understand how people would feel that way as well. However, I would rather take the time to at least go over 123 teams at least once and try to cut down on as many mistakes before we release it. But that's just me.

As you stated, hope this doesn't come off as me trying to sound like a jerk or whatever, but just giving some insight on how we feel as well.

And forgive my ignorance but if I have already started my dynasty with your released rosters on Tuesday and then download the update, will that affect my current dynasty already in progress or basically do I need to start all over from year one again in Dynasty mode?

No need to apologize WillTin. What we do is release the roster after we feel we have done all we can. The community then goes through and suggests corrections for us to make. Because its normally a lot of them it is an ongoing process. Also, the team has a couple of guys that are going back and doing more hardcore equipment edits.

Oh, and if you've started your dynasty, you will have to restart it to use another roster set.

A TON of these (360) have UConn just in shambles. First, our best QB Chandler Whitmer ISN'T EVEN ON THE TEAM. He came in this year, but come on, I really don't want McEntee (who at 79 is just absolutely ridiculous) as my QB ever again in any way, shape or form. Second, Graham Stewart is now a Husky, used to play for Florida. I saw people address this in the forum for the community roster for 360 which is good, because he will be a major factor in coming years, maybe this year if he gets a waiver. The third thing is UConn is just so off on all the appearances of guys. Just at RB, we have McCombs with DREADLOCKS. Anyone who watches Big East football would think he's Andre Dixon. Max DeLorenzo is dark skinned though he is light skinned in real life, and vice verca with Martin Hypolite. Nick Williams is dark skinned, should be light, Shakim Phillips is light skinned, should be dark. The appearances need to be fixed, the equipment in my eyes isn't a huge deal until the season.
Though I hate how UConn is never respected in video games, I still thank these guys for putting in a lot of effort just to get the names in. That being said, I can't wait for the OS roster.

at some point, though, you are gonna have to just decide "this is it" and start the dynasty with one of the versions of the rosters.... essentially, you could be waiting forever because they could be editing all the way through the season... in years past, since you could upload draft classes to Madden, i wanted the most realistic representation of "real life" in my game, so i chose to hold out for the most accurate rosters, even editing them myself after download.... but what i realized is that there are so many teams that i never, ever come across in my dynasty, and so many guys that don't make the draft class anyway, that holding out to make sure that insignificant players (basically freshman lower than 65 OVR) were included in the roster was just really a waste of time....

the consensus "top dogs" of college football will be in it.... combine that with the lack of draft classes, and really you just need above average rosters that you can then edit further yourself....
