@ sportsfan. I understand what you are saying and I'm glad that you approached this in a respectful manner. With that being said, I honestly don't understand anyone raging or insulting people over rosters. I will never understand that. As far as the complaints go.... ehhh people were asking me when I thought we would finish so I did. But I also said it could be longer and told people not to hold me to Sunday so I do think complaints are rather unwarranted as well. But it doesn't really bother me too much honestly so its cool.

As far as over kill taking a couple of days for a few teams... I can understand how people would feel that way as well. However, I would rather take the time to at least go over 123 teams at least once and try to cut down on as many mistakes before we release it. But that's just me.

As you stated, hope this doesn't come off as me trying to sound like a jerk or whatever, but just giving some insight on how we feel as well.

Anybody complaining about anything you guys do with the rosters can go pound sand or name them themselves. You guys are awesome. Thanks for all the work.

that's cool... i was just stating my opinion.... obviously, you have a differing one than i do, but i still maintain that if i were the one with the roster, i'd put it out ASAP just to shut everyone up, with the disclaimer of not 100%, check back for updates in 24-48 hours.... again, this place will be a ghost town when that roster drops, so i'd do it just so i could stop reading "when are they gonna be ready" or "three days? what's taking so long?!....

and it's a "grueling" process.... just sayin':wink:

Anyway lol I disagree again. Ghost town is far from the truth. You used examples such as kickers equipment and backup linebackers but the truth is that people aren't gonna complain about Akron at all. They are gonna complain that their number 1 WR doesn't have 97 speed becuase they ran track against him in high school. Its gonna be full of homer fans saying their teams players aren't good enough. Specifically big conference teams, so I think they don't want to deal with that while dealing with the 10+ teams left and deal with the errors or stuff they didn't put in yet. All that combined sounds awful to a roster maker. Again my opinion but I'm sure thats their reasoning behind it

I have a sneaking suspicion that if those rosters aren't done today/tonight all this "patiently" waiting is going to take a hard left turn and result in a whole lotta bans and a whole lotta close threads.

Banned guy does have a point though. On the other hand I see both sides of the conversation.

At the end of the day, it's not a big deal. If it were me, and I saw almost 1,000+ viewers in one section alone, on a Sunday of no football, I would release a preliminary roster and call it a BETA to satisfy the masses.

When I created an NCAA mod for Madden 2006 PC, this is exactly what I did. It was a huge thread, and the contributions directly from the community made the final set a great base for future Maddens (little did we know there were only 2 left on the pc) to come.

Regardless, cut some guys on here a bit of slack for being impatient. It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon, guys are watching baseball and thinking of football - no harm, no foul - it'll be worth the wait.

for xbox 360 users, i'd recommend rosters by this guy: skyflame21. they're incomplete right now, and he probably won't be done for another week. you guys should check out what he does have up now though, his ratings and edits are great

Im fine w/ waiting, if the rosters are gonna be 100% perfect then everyone should be ok with it.. Its time like this that can be most useful ya know? What I suggest for now? Use the auto generated or no names til Tuesday.. Play exhibition, fine tune your skills, create a playbook, hey if you really are itching to get on do a Mascot Game! lol but seriously there may be some things you could find out or use to advantage without the rosters in this short span of time.. In closing that I would like to ask out of curiosity will OS be doing similar player faces and real-life player accessories also?

A problem I saw was that in everyones rosters, they had Connor Dietz (Air Force QB) as a black guy.. I dont like how EA Sports doesn't let you put names like ex. USF QB B.J. Daniels, instead you have to put just BJ without the periods.. I changed it to Bruce, his first name.

No need to apologize WillTin. What we do is release the roster after we feel we have done all we can. The community then goes through and suggests corrections for us to make. Because its normally a lot of them it is an ongoing process. Also, the team has a couple of guys that are going back and doing more hardcore equipment edits.

Oh, and if you've started your dynasty, you will have to restart it to use another roster set.

When you speak of community, are you referring to people like myself that are on this forum and downloading the rosters?

If, so I can certainly contribute for Clemson and other ACC schools.

Tuesday is only two days guys. Where did three days come from? Lol. But with that being said, 13 teams at an hour and a half would run into tomorrow anyway, so we wouldn't be done today even if we were not going over everything.

And I don't think you're guys are being rude. I think we are all communicating in a respectful fashion so that's good. With that being said, we just feel more comfortable going through everything and getting as much right and correcting as many mistakes as possible. We're sticking with that so I hope you guys can respect that.

I can respect that. It may be disappointing but the disappointment only stems from people (including myself) who get their hopes up that they may be finished earlier. This happens every year, and every year I tell myself: "Dont get the game until the OS rosters are done" because I know if I do, I will just stick myself on this site refreshing hahaha. But every year I go and buy it, and eventually stick myself on this site refreshing.

You guys take the time you need, they are your rosters and you could never release them if you truly wanted to or even keep the GT a secret. I am thankful each and every year that you don't do this, and make my dynasty experience so much better. I appreciate all of your work. You guys are the best!
