at what point(ratings wise) can you dunk?(my player mode)

I'm 40 games in2 my rookie year, and have yet to make 1dunk! Well now I wanna be able to dunk....what ratings do I need to increase (and @ what point does dunkin start)


My pg is 5'10" (short!)
Dunk is 36
Vert is 56

Well I know you have to be at least a 50 or so, in dunk rating to get the basic Ringrazer dunk package. But I've never seen anyone dunk consistently in their rookie season, at least with the 2k default starting points in MP. Increase your dunk, vertical and shoot in traffic. Get all those up to 70 or so and dunks will occur.

40 dunk rating to dunk in open court.

You need 40 dunk to get the Rimgrazer package, and 80 dunk to use the fin packages.

Vertical has nothing to do with it. Dunk rating has to be a 41 to dunk! Just so you know also, rating has nothing to do with what packages you can buy. Im a 6'4 point guard with a 41 rating using the scottie pippen dunk package and have only missed one dunk in game through 40+ games.

don't listen to him^ vertical does matter. if you have a 40 dunk rating but a very low vertical rating you won't dunk as much. get your vertical rating up first , it has so many benifits and its also cheap. you'll dunk more often and you'd grab rebounds , and block easier.

When I said vertical doesnt matter I meant it in the way that it doesnt effect if you CAN dunk. My verticals untouched and I dunk over players on players on fast breaks and everything else.

you need vertical to dunk.. if you have your dunk at 40 , but your vertical is low , you will not perform a dunk ingame. Your guy probably has his vertical over 60.

Shumpert, all you have to do is take someone in the game and put their vertical at 25 and their dunk rating at 45 and see if they can dunk. Vertical doesn't matter.

I am dunking on people pretty good with my All-Around PG and I made sure to up my dunk and vertical. Shoot in traffic is another one to pay attention to.
