Well I have to say as unlikely as this is being Joe's age, In this turn of events you could "retire" from your CC QB and start as Joe. The "franchise" will still go on. Looman pointed that the "retire" feature is for those who get bored as the same guy or same ol stuff. If in your madden Joe comes back you could be Joe and sign with whatever team hired you. EA hasn't announced, to my understanding, of how the un-retires will re-enter the game. Whether they sign with the last team they played for or as a FA.
