    OS Firearms Thread

I've just recently started to really get into firearms. Figured we could get together in here and show off our toys.

So far, I own a Smith and Wesson M&P 40 Shield (CCW), and a Browning Buckmark Camper URX Stainless .22 pistol for dumping lead down range. I need to take some pics of both, but for now, stock photos will do.

Yeah, I really didn't think this one through guys. I obviously know what happened, but it didn't really cross my mind before posting this. Just picked up the Buckmark an hour ago and decided to start up a thread on it.

Up to you guys if you want to lock it up. You'll get no bones from me.

I think it's fine. What happened happened and having this thread IMO doesn't make anyone insensitive to it.

Timing obviously isn't great, but I see no reason to think anything of it. This is a hobby for some people, and most of those people are responsible it seems.

I have the Springfield .40 XD and love it..

I guess I'll post some of my collection:

Henry Survival .22 with modifications, including a RDS, for target practice
30 30 Marlin, lever action rifle.
                  Springfield .40 XD
                  Highpoint 9mm (cheap)

I have a few more, including some hunting rifles and shotguns.

Honestly, I rarely shoot any of my guns.. favorite to shoot is the Henry Survival .22. I have a few hundred tied up in the gun. it really looks like a mini AR, yet you could squirrel hunt with it.. lol.

I have my CCW and my everyday carry piece is a Ruger SP101 .357 five shot revolver.

This thing has a lot of stopping power for its' size, that's for sure.

                        Nice.

I have had a S&W .45 1911 I was forced to carry and I hated the damn thing.

I am personally a huge fan of the Springfields.

I strongly considered going with the 4.2 inch version of the SP101 (w/ fiber optic sights and wood paneled grips) for my carry weapon, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Wound up stumbling upon the one M&P Shield my local shop got in and fell in love.

Just the other day, me and my buddies went shooting. Guy that went with us just picked up an FN 5.7, and wow, is that thing nice. He also brought along his Saiga 12, which is crazy fun to shoot.

I'll be living in the Philippines next year and my dad suggested I should be carrying at all times while I'm there for protection. I also like shooting too, its always fun when I get a chance to go shooting but never considered owning my own until recently.

Any suggestions what a newb should look into getting as their first gun?
