It's a thankless job. They will always have massive detractors because the game doesn't cater to every single one of us in our own "special" way. Seriously, I never read "Bug and Glitches" threads for this very reason; I don't even notice about 75 percent of the bugs and glitches that most others do.

The sad part is this - this developers most likely grew up loving and playing this game, too. Just like us. They want to deliver the best game that they can with the limited resources that they possess. Does anyone actually think it was a developer's idea to axe the ability to import draft classes to Madden?

The problem is these guys have deadlines and a corporate office making their decisions for them. I have voiced complaints over this game as well but I try and leave the development team out of it.

People can and should blame EA for this game's shortcomings... Just leave the developers out of it. I believe they're doing the best they can.

I am not an EA apologist... I guess my standards just aren't that high anymore; this game has always been a blast to me and I always get my money's worth. I'm pumped that we're finally going to get some uniform updates (which is something that the development team has probably wanted for five years but finally got the go-ahead from the big wigs).

Wait a minute... Who is Jason French? I thought Ben Haumiller was lead producer. Was Ben demoted?

If so... That is great news!

Maybe Jason is familiar with "Quality Assurance"

            - The frozen LB/CB/Safety on option plays (video example here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCYgPifIFUA)

If those aren't affecting playability, i'm not really sure what is. Please pass this along as these two issues are some of the most talked about issues in the Bugs & Glitches thread that is stickied here on OS. Thank you very much.
Last year the corners in cover 3 or 4 were the only defenders frozen vs option. This year corners, safeties and linebackers are zombified and EA doesn't address it? Unbelievable

Glad I didn't buy this. I purchased every EA NCAA Football game from 2003-2010, but held off these last two years. I haven't looked back since. All I've read about this year's and last year's games are negative. How can EA really this game with all this glaring **** wrong?

Can someone tell me how to rename an offline dynasty file? EA says that's a workaround for the freezing issues but I can't figure out how to do it.

                  Thanks in advance.

EDIT - I see now how to rename - but I couldn't get into the dynasty to do it. I was freezing when loading the dynasty. I deleted my custom playbook and now I can get in FWIW.

EDIT 2 - I created another save file (which I assume is what is meant by "renaming"), and then I tried to play the game and it froze at the loading screen. lol

Had that happen to me as well a few times. A run straight up the middle with no one around and a catch near the sideline with no one around and just blown dead..lol

Some people are leading to believe the hieght of the RB is what causes the shotgun counter plays to be blown dead. Shorter HBs have their knee hit the ground at the handoff animation or something like that.

Week 11 always gets me, following by Week 13. My week 11 game, I tried the re-save work around, it worked just fine. Now my week 13 game, freezes on load screen, I've resaved and overwritten, resaved and renamed, still freezes. So... I'm stuck. It's a rivalry game too... So if I set it to spectator mode, then take control of my team in the game, I wont get the trophy on my profile if I win. Awesome...

July 31 can't come soon enough, and to be honest, its too far away.

will EA be including a check in this update so they can pay me for doing the job their testers are supposed to do?

I wouldn't say it's a thankless job. When they put out a good product people praise them. Go on other boards other than just NCAA or Madden and you'll see people praising things about other games. Sure there will be complainers because a thread with a complaint is going to stay at the top and get more people talking than a thread saying, "good job".

But other people are able to put out better products. Why can't it simply be that this group of people is not as good at their jobs as someone else? Just because it's EA doesn't mean it's the best. The NBA 2k team does a much better job putting out a better game, The Show team as well, the Fifa team as well. And those are just a couple other sports games. Yes resources have an impact but let's not make it out like the NCAA team is working with a small budget and limited resources. They have more resources than you could imagine. But you can have all the money and resources you want but it's priorities and how you allocate your time. Do you think spending 2 weeks adding the USC Song Girls was really worth it? Even if it's just an art thing, you don't think there's a bigger aspect with art that could have used more work?

I think you give the team a pass too much and act like it's the higher ups sitting there holding them back. They are fully capable at putting out a better product with the resources provided to them, perhaps the individuals just aren't capable themselves.

This... 1000x this... Your best post ever Jersey. The key here "how you allocate your time"

The responsibility has to fall on the shoulders of the leadership. Maybe Jason French will understand that concept.

I'm sure they've made a ton of money off this game so far, but hopefully enough people didn't purchase it from the get go, and now with all the issues are showing EA either release a good ready to go title or feel it in the pockets.
