Re: Is recruiting too easy now?
in a way yes but in others no.. like that 80 ovr receiver that is a blessing because i also recruit on Heisman and haven't reeled in a 5star yet and as a lower school bust are still better recruits than 80% of your roster.6'4 220

There is just something out of balance with recruiting this year. Maybe because recruits don't have a set top 10 it is easier to get up on the recruits early and force the CPU teams to back off.Comment

Re: Is recruiting too easy now?
I think busts are way too common in 4 stars. There also seem to be way too many 2 star gems. I think the biggest problem is the fact that you can 100% scout a player way too quickly and easily. Coaches need to have a scouting grade and the scouting results should be based on how well the coaches can scout. If your coach sucks at scouting then it should be harder to find the gems and harder to find the busts. The system now makes it way too easy to find the gems and the busts.NCAA: Virginia Cavaliers

Re: Is recruiting too easy now?
of course it is. you havce the ability now to load your board with 3* and scouth them all 2 4 and 5 star ratings and get them. and if they suck dump them and try again. There is no downside. Scouting is a good idea just not well thought out.Playing: Ncaa13, Gears3, CH2k8, TigerWoods13

Rankings also go by how many players comitted and you got more than most teams.
I actually thought recruiting seemed harder than last years game.Comment

Re: Is recruiting too easy now?
Lord yes... Last year I recruited with the same teambuilder team that had 1* prestige and highest pitch was a B and the rest were Ds or lower and I was lucky to haul in a few recruits and had like a 105 class or worse. This year I have the same team and I finished with 12 3* stars and the #69 class, all on heisman difficulty.Comment

Re: Is recruiting too easy now?
Yes recruting has been way too easy.
On heisman with Colorado I have completed 2 seasons:
Year 1 (2star):
12-4stars, 12-3stars, 1-2Stars. #2 ranked class, average overall 68.04.
Year 2 (3Star):
11-4stars, 13-3stars, 1-1star. #6 ranked class, average overall 71.78.
No way I could pull this off in last years version of the game.
I read on another site that they believe there is an issue with computer teams issuing scholarships. Like they spend points but are not offering scholarships soon enough or don't issue at all causing this.
I hope this is something that gets addressed in a patch.Comment

Re: Is recruiting too easy now?
There is a bug in the game right now that will be fixed in the August patch. Basically, when you make a promise, that promise carries over 2 and sometimes 3 weeks. Meaning, you get those points 2 or 3 times. Go look at your promises and you will notice a player has multiple promises of the same promise, like 3x "No redshirt".
If you give 3 promises in the first week and they all are promised in the 2nd week as well, you will get an extra 500 or so points in week 2.Comment

Re: Is recruiting too easy now?
I agree with this. I hardly ever see another scholarship offered to players I am recruiting, even if there are 5 or 6 going after them.Comment
