    LOL AT EA'S RESPONSE TEAM

Just got off live chat support with EA about NCAA Fball freezing issues. So the person told me to resave my dynasty file or turn on autosave in dynasty do something to trigger a change & it should work fine. I replied " How am i suppose to do that if i can't get into dynasty in the first place? "

    The person replied

    "That's a good point."

Immediately i thought it would be followed up by something else but the chat went dead silent for about 2 - 3minutes. I am appauled & at the same time lol'ing.

LOL could you imagine this guy running to the EA SPORTS HQ and telling the boss there about the call.

        "What's wrong?"

"Some ******* called about dynasty freezes"

"Oh **** not this crap again. Give him a coupon for Madden"

Breaking News; EA's Support Team are workers, most likely in India, who just get the info from Corporate to tell people who are having problems. They aren't true IT specialists. Hell, they seem to be primarily used for Online Pass problems, connection issues, and other miscellaneous questions.

And that fix does work for some people and doesn't work for others. The freezing issue patch drops in a couple of days, so hopefully that clears your problems. Just don't get pissy when Punjab can't help you. He's there to rectify easily fixed issues on their side and to give information passed to him that is a known temporary fix for others.

Breaking news, you are at it again. Enough with the sarcasm and blind EA defense of their stupidity.

You would think after last years mess with freezing they would have worked harder not to have that issue. But its ea ofcorse. I'm almost betting that just like last year every patch they put out will break something else and they will eventualy give up and say there focusing on next years NCAA like thay did last year. Guess they didn;t do to much Focusing if the same issues are still around.

You do know every company is structured like this. But hey, come in just to tell me I'm a staunch defender blablah. Go on Amazon Customer Service, you'll get the same thing. They don't know anything, it's just the way they are structured. Stop being dense.

Yeah but every time I've complained to Amazon I've walked away with at a minimum a $10 credit.

You're absolutely right about this. If anyone has any doubts, just refer them to each of the Obama/Romney campaign runs, respectively so far this summer. A major, major issue in American politics right now is the US job market and how much of it is actually hosted overseas, primarily in countries like India. What people fail to realize when they call customer service, for ANYTHING - whether its EA Sports, Kohls, or major cell-phone providers, and happen upon an individual who sounds "foreign", it's actually because the person IS foreign and is not answering your call from a "basement" somewhere here in America.

These people are easier to manage payroll with, and the bonus with countries like India is that English is a primary language there. They're given access to FAQ sheets and try their best to match up your query/concern to what they are told the answer/solution is. They have no actual knowledge of the product however, and frankly do not need to to successfully complete their job.

So when the OP refers to "EA Response team", it's grasping at straws really. It should be common knowledge, especially if you watch the news at all, that this is a highly critical issue for our nation right now. (ie. the fact a huge percentage of our job market employees are hired across the pond).

well they did better with you than i would have. i would have copy and pasted the link to the blog addressing the issues, and cut your live chat off quicker than you can blink.

Most companies "try" to actually fix the problem. Whether they are "workers from India" or wherever, they have it scripted so they can actually resolve problems.

"Most companies" will actually send you to an upper tier associate who "is" an IT person if they can't resolve it at the outset.

                          EA is not "most companies."

It is not the consumer's problem that companies like EA employ under-qualified workers that are supposed to help you with product issues. When your solution is to "not get pissy" when employees who are MARKETED TO BE ABLE TO FIX PRODUCT ISSUES cannot help you, there are problems with customer support. I gave up on calling EA long, long ago.

But it is not the rep's fault either. They are told what to say by higher ups. Did OP expect a designer to break down the intricacies of freezing. There is one known fix. It works for some, not all. What did you want the rep to say? How is he or she supposed to know how to fix an issue that the developers don't seem to know how to fix.

Also, if you come on these boards, you probably knew and have tried that fix already. So you just contacted them to complain or to make a point perhaps?
