If you dont like the mode, thats your opinion and thats just fine, but you seem like youre just bellyaching because the game isnt exactly like your vision of how it should be.

The game is far from perfect and likely always will be, but if people cant see the improvements, I dont know what to say. Obviously there is alot more they can add going forward, but this mode has a TON of potential going forward. They need to get editing rosters and draft imports back in before I think about getting it though.
A couple other people need to read this fantastic post..

Okay, I'm a little confused on one point. I know much has been said about the inability to edit rosters and the only rosters you'll be able to use in CCM are the rosters the devs roll out on a weekly basis, but in the video above, in the LEAGUE SETTINGS screen, it appears you have the option to enter CCM with a set of rosters of your choosing. Did anyone else catch that?

So I'm asking... Would it be possible for me to edit the rosters for the teams as I see fit, save that roster file, then take that roster file with me into CCM? Is that plausible? Because if so, I think I'm okay with the game. If on the other hand the select roster under the LEAGUE SETTINGS screen means selecting just the different variations of rosters the devs roll out with... well then that will truly suck. It's important enough for me to skip out on the game this year if that is the case...
prolly is for donny moore's updated rosters. we have already heard that custom rosters are not useable this year.

Does anyone know if there is any workaround whatsoever for the no offline 2 player CC? Will I ACTUALLY have to buy another xbox, hook up 2 TV's and start an online CC just to play with my roommate who is right next to me? There HAS to be another way.

Not for nothing. I am looking forward to this mode for a number of reasons but that video didn't do anything for me.

Was this suppose to be out a long time ago? Seems like the information is very old.

you can each control a team separately by swapping between the coaches of your teams. dont know if you will be able to both draft players or some other off season tasks since we dont know how they are carried out.

We won't know for sure until the game drops but like someone else said, you could switch back and forth or maybe even create an online CC and log in/log out of each PSN/Gamertag for each game. The latter would require one of you to actually spend $10 to access Madden online if using the same disk but it would give you two separate CC profiles to access through the web.

The problem would come if playing each other or wanting to control each others CPU opponent. When playing each other, you guys could just opt to spectate the game and see which Gameplan wins out or one of you just find another system to play on for those games. I am rambling but it would be kind of cool to play an online CC with someone in the same house but on different consoles/tvs, imo.

Re: Madden NFL 13 Video: Playbooks 5 & 6: Connected Careers

I'm generally disappointed in the overhyped features but I think CC has a chance to be something pretty awesome. I don't make it past year 2 or 3 in any football dynasty/career/franchise mode because I get bored of being the same team after awhile. Now, having the ability to start as the Bucs, draft a player of the future or follow a certain player (if we lose or trade someone) will be fantastic. Go be a coach, draft that stud you want and then switch to him.

I'm wondering how free agency and such is handled when you are a player, how the logic is on drafting and what the offseason is like as a coach, but this has potential. I imagine Year 1 of CC will be nothing as they ramp it up in Madden 14 and beyond.

EA at least gets credit for a worthwhile innovation here. This, if done correctly, and not watered down by XP stuff has a chance to be great.

What's that? No one has ever said anything about Wingo and the draft outside of OS posters have they?

No doubt, I was just misunderstanding when he said "CC is on a 2-4 yr cycle" not "CC was a 2-4 yr cycle". The verb tense got me lol.

As a coach, can you prepare a gameplan, to use on defense against your opponent?

Saying that we can play with Tim Tebow..what is so great about that? I could control the Jets last year and control anyone I wanted. Now we can play online with our buddies who live in LA...thats great what if my buddies live in the same house and we have one system???? Do we have to make new friends across the country? I am sorry but this mode just ruins Madden for me....

oh and the no editing thing. Look at number 9 on the Cardinals. He has a normal facemask with a revo speed helmet. I know to some guys that isnt important but to many of us it is. I can just see the rookies now..kickers with visors, quarterbacks with lineman facemasks and everyone with dreads.
I agree, it is very frustrating but hopefully they will bring back these features in the near future. If the gameplay is better, then it might be worth a shot to sacrafice one year of missed features. There may just be a workaround to some of the issues but wont know yet until the game is in our hands.
