NCAA 2011 is a beautiful looking game

After playing the graphical abomination that is NCAA 2013 on PS3 i decided to pop in my old copies of NCAA. I was blown away by just how beautiful 2011 looked. The textures, lighting, and overall atmosphere were all gorgeous. I can't believe just how much of a step back the 2013 jaggie fest is. 2012 is better than 13 but still the lighting just isn't as good as '11. It also plays a pretty good game of football. Overall, it just seems like the NCAA series has taken a step back the last couple years.

You kept your old versions?

I own every Madden from 95 and every NCAA (except for 05 because that game pissed me off sooo damn much) since 03. I'm a collector.

I keep a handful of my old maddens and ncaa's, just because. I was originally going to save each version but never really ended up doing so.


Graphics? Problem? What? The game is graphically amazing, if thats the complaint you are reaching really far.

I always keep my games. I find there is more value to be able to pop in an old game and remember that it wasn't really as good as my romanticized memories are, than the $3 Gamestop would give me.

I enjoy every new ncaa or madden that comes out generally, so I don't ever play the previous years again. I normally can get 15 bucks on ebay, or find a trade in deal for the new game.

On PS3? Hardly. There are jaggies all over every player. The only time it doesn't look awful is during closeups.

I agree, I traded in my PS3 copy and went get the 360 version just because how low res everything appeared in the PS3 version.

The big flaw is the field, it is a blurry mess in close ups, plus everything just looks so washed out.

Now I will say on 360 the game is flat out BEAUTIFUL to look at!!

This is what happens when companies build something with the 360 and then port to ps3. It should be the other way around because the ps# is the more powerful machine.

Don't even bring that into the equation Games basically look the same regardless of which it was made on. Look at Call of Duty, Mass Effect 2/3, Assassins Creed, etc. Xbox 360 is just plain easier to develop on.
