Re: Help dealing with the Blitz
Usually in online ranked matches my opponents reveal which side they are blitzing from. This allows me to adjust my lineman to slide protect to that side.. usually this buys me an extra second or two.
For play calling, I recommend using screen plays and shallow crossing routes to counter the press coverage. Just quick routes in general are very helpful. -
Re: Help dealing with the Blitz
Keep a TE and HB in to block. Any combo of outs, slants go routes with remaining 3 Wrs should work well. Also screensHello friends,

Re: Help dealing with the Blitz
Also, any pass plays that send a WR in motion should help with getting them off the press.Comment

Screens, screens, and more screens.
You may get sacked a few times but if you get off you bound to have a big gain as noone is there to defend it.Comment

Re: Help dealing with the Blitz
I find an effective blitz is the 1-5-5 bear prowl. So I press my DB's and send 6 against their 5....assuming they are in gun. However, the more bodies in the box for the offense the less effective/moot the blitz becomes, and big plays tend to open up.
So it is a simple as using better formations.Comment

Re: Help dealing with the Blitz
This year you can hot route runnin'backs to hold a block before releasin' to run a route; seems pretty effective for me.Comment

Re: Help dealing with the Blitz
i had someone the other night online, playing with the new york giants and he blitzed every down in a 2-3-6 dollar formation. press coverage on the outside and i could not do anything with it. tried quick inside routes, they would either get jammed or i would throw a pick to a LB. i was getting soo angry there was absolutely nothing i could do with it. any tips guys? (madden 13) btwComment

Agreed. This really slows down the blitz. Love the double screen and they can't cover 3 receivers and a running back plus blitz. Someone is open if you run this and thy blitz.

Re: Help dealing with the Blitz
Go in to the normal shot gun with two backs and use both as blockers. Also set your line to aggressive. Hot route your receivers. If the are pressing, go streak. If the play off the curls are deadly accurate. Make sure you let the ball go before he gets to the end of route. You avoid any contact and as soon as the receiver turns the break ball is in front. Screens are deadly but be patient with them. Use your tight end on slants and out routes.Comment
