The BCS Ranking and polls just as broken in the game as they are in real life?

So I just reached the Bowl Season in my first offline Dynasty and can't help but feel that my 12-1 LSU Tiger got the short end of the stick in the Bowl games. While I can't account for the Schedule strength of the top two teams I can say that they are both a 3 star and 2 star rated team respectively. I wont say I know how good N.C. State is or Toledo really are, but to be number three when compared to the latter if those two, feels like it should never happen. With the conferance strength of the ACC I could see N.C. State making to the National Championship, but the MAC is not a top conferance, and atleast in the 2012-13 season, should not be ranked number 2 and above a powerhouse team from the SEC like LSU. So is there anyone else who has had something simalure happen to them, and how do you feel about it? I know I'm pretty mad about it, and like I said feel like I've been given the short end of the stick after winnng the SEC Champianship and looking forward to taking the 2012-13 National Title, now I have to settle for a Sugar Bowl against #9 ranked Oregon Ducks.

BCS title game in real life isn't broken. The two best teams go to the title game every year. IMO, even as an Alabama fan, I would have accepted OSU going. The enjoyment it would have been would to see LSU mop the floor with the OSU team and their high school defense. Never the less Alabama went and played LSU and they were the best two teams last year.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you, Bama had no reason to be in the BSC Champianship, LSU had beaten them and there was no need for an SEC champianship game for the National Title. It should have been LSU vs. OSU, because OSU would have earned it. IMO the Tigers should have put in Lee and then they would have won.

Jarret Lee? Jordan Jefferson couldn't play against the defense. Leewould've been stomped by Alabama's defense. That's why les miles didn't put Lee in the game. Now as an Alabama fan we all had accepted being in the sugar bowl and OSU go to the championship. We were all shocked when Alabama got into the championship.

ether way I'm not her to argue or debt who should have played/won the BCS Champianship game last your, but simply wondering if something similure to my first post has happened to anyone else. Whether the System is broken, IMO it is, or not. A team who don't have a strong schedule got ranked higher then a team that has to play through the gauntlet that is the SEC.

Bama had every right to play for the BCS title game. Close loss to the only undefeated and turned around to thrash them for the title. What more would you want? The best 2 teams played

Please don't say Bama didn't deserve to be in there. I'm a student at LSU and everyone knows that Bama and us were the two best teams in the country. We would've crushed osu, but we got mopped against Bama. Oh well, they played better and were coached better. We'll get em next year

LOL. I love that this thread turned into a Bama vs LSU thread.

The polls in game are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY broken compared to real life.

Toledo isn't good.. And N.C. State is one of the not so great ACC teams. And I've seen worse things happen in this game. The rankings are based almost entirely on being undefeated as far as I can tell. Because Army being in the national championship with only one ranked win on their schedule? No way EA.

                    This.

I had FIU go year one undefeated, beating Nebraska in the NC, Nebraska I can live with, a 12-0 SB champion probably would have to poll to even sniff a BCS bid.

Bama had a horrible schedule compared to OSU last year...I'm not a fan of either team or either conference and went through and if you actually looked at it Bama barely beat anyone and even most of the teams with winning records that they beat barely had winning records and some had winning records only because they beat up on lesser teams...a team that does not win their conference let alone their division does not deserve a spot in the NC game unless there is a playoffs and they earn their way through.

I wouldn't call any team of the SEC a horrible schedule. Playing teams like LSU, Arkansas, Penn State, and many other SEC school (though some might not have been at their best that year), I would still say any SEC schedule would be better than any Big 12 teams schedule. Now second part; losing to the one team by 3 points and no touchdowns looks a hell of a lot better than a team that loses to Iowa State. Come on now. #2 loses to #1 in overtime by a field goal vs a team that loses in regulation to ILthe cyclones? I think you should be able to see what team should be there.

Can't believe this thread hasnt been closed yet, but here goes...
To me, Alabama under Saban ALWAYS deserves the National Championship Game until they lose. I say "Lose" because I don't think Bama ever gets "Beaten".
That being said, they did lose to LSU. But then, everybody else lost too. They kinda got there by default. And there's something to be said about the listeners of Paul Finebaum immediately jumping on the rematch wagon. I think that's what started the discussion.
Personally, I loved last years team. I loved the players, I loved the coaches. I loved the commitment to excellence. The dedication.
I think they're to be admired.
I also was shocked that they actually got the bid. I didnt think the schedule was that tough.
That's one you just have to stock up to getting respect.

                          ROLL TIDE!!
And I can't wait for the dulcet tones of Eli Gold and the Crimson Tide Radio Network once again as the Tide Rolls over those inferior Michigan Wolverines.

I went undefeated with both Western mich and UAB in my first dynasty season (both in previous games) and did not get NC invite, so SoS may have some effect

If the AI and ratings on this game were worth a damn; You could NEVER go undefeated or Go to the NC game with anything but about a dozen teams, no matter how you play or coach.

                              These posts claiming Texas San Antonio, or Bowling Green, or New Mexico State etc going undefeated means one of two things;
You're either cheating, or the game's about as accurate and true life as an episode of the Simpsons.
                              So somethings wrong somewhere.
