I know NHL games aren't as popular on here as games like NBA,NFL,MLB, but hopefully it's at least enough where people will post countdowns to the game release.

Real random number to start at, but can't go back in time and start at 99....(or can we...)

Your right though, it should start at 99 but damn, 99 days would be so long

I did a count and it seems today is 45, if you get to 1 it will be on Sunday the 9th

Other games count down to official release day, so the 11th.

Though I'm really only counting down to the 7th

It's important to note the 11th is the ship date, at least in the US, games always ship on tuesday.

This game is gonna be pretty good. Sept 11th can't get here fast enough. Kind of ironic the date it falls on but no problems here. Just when you think the game can't get any better it does and this year shouldn't be an exception. Different announcers or at least your teams announcers would be cool. Can't wait!!

^Arena announcers aren't that important, but commentators would be good.

Still dont' know why they never just get HNIC commentators to be commentators on NHL. Since that's the national channel, that all of Canada gets, and even people in USA can get HNIC games.

lol ya, but his commentary on games was basically same all the time. He was there from like NHL97-07. And he wasn't a national commentator for most of those years he was in NHL video games(wasn't even back on HNIC until 2005)

I remember scoring goals and hearing him be like "....goal???"

And of course, with no commentary updating, any commentary gets old fast.

Sports games should have like a 3 year rule. After 3 years, they change commentators(or just redo what those commentators say).

I've only played NHL11 and 12(was stuck with NHL06 and 2k10 until I got PS3 2 years ago lol) and I'm already tired of this commentary team lol.


They should have Bob Cole and Greg Millen(or Craig Simpson). Everyone (should) knows Bob Cole. He is the voice of HNIC.

But if they aren't gonna change commentators, at least update it. They mention stats that are last season(by last season, I mean like the season BEFORE the one that just happened, so for NHL12 for example, they bring up stuff from 09-10 season,despite the fact that 10-11 season was already finished. And playing NHL12 during 11-12 season, makes it seem even more outdated, hearing facts/info from 3 years ago)


On the plus side of that, minus the freezes, annoying AI passes/skating physics(at least 2 out of those 3 seem to be fixed in NHL13), the updatedness(if that's a word?) is really one of the only other problems I have with NHL games.

I think the less silly/joke comments the better.
It's one thing for them to call the game and though that gets repetitive I find it's those silly lines they add in that make it hard to keep on.
