Will Player Stories Relate in-game?
So I'm asking this question.I know there will be story lines for players in the game. But will they actually relate to the game?

Re: Will Player Stories Relate in-game?
well storylines can effect the game in a way, because a player could pull out from the NFL Draft and you might have spent a lot of time scouting him. Other than that I'm not sure what other ways the storylines will effect gameplayDedicatedleagues.com - THE ULTIMATE SIM COMMUNITY

Do you think they will be talking about the players story lines in the gameplay?NINERS FAN SINCE 96Comment

Re: Will Player Stories Relate in-game?
Doubt it, but that would make the games immersion that much better. Perhaps next gen we would see something like this where the commentators talk about players story lines as well as what is happening around the league as a whole.NFL: Tennessee Titans & Pittsburgh Steelers
NCAAF: Ohio State
NHL: Pittsburgh PenguinsComment

Re: Will Player Stories Relate in-game?
I'm fairly sure that I heard during the audio playbook that the commentators will know everything that is going on in your CC. That would make me think that there might be a few lines thrown in there that relate to something that happened outside of gameplay. I wouldn't be surprised if there was commentary after a player signs a new contract or if there is an injury keeping a starter out etc.Comment

Re: Will Player Stories Relate in-game?
the answer is YES 100%
the proof is in the overwhelming hype they have been making about the VIRTUAL TWITTER FEED in the game with MANY different commentators like Skip Bayless etc commenting on each development within our own CCM.... they have also said we can get a real twitter account and link it so that all the in-game tweets come across to us even while we are off-console like on your iphone or from a pc at work etc
also I would add that NCAA Online Dynasty has done this beautifully for YEARS now
in NCAA Online Dynasty I will take a 5 star recruit I signed and when he joins my team I will just EDIT him and even make him ME for example (as NCAA has a place to actually submit surnames to pronounce properly in games by the commentators) or I'll make him some other alumni from my school lets say Cam Newton for example if I'm Auburn
the game does a phenomenal job of actually pronouncing the EDITED players name and saying very pertinent things during gameplay while I'm beating another user for example it'll say Cam Newton just BROKE THE NCAA PASSING RECORD blah blah blah
nice when playing a friend and you break an ALL TIME or school exclusive record
so Madden 13 will no doubt be incorporating that this year.... this is one of the biggest features they have been promoting so far
and NBA 2k12 has done a great job of this as well although unlike NCAA they dont say it as much during gameplay but there is a STORY or headline homepage so to speak
makes a world of diifference for keeping users immersed as you get deeper into the franchiseLast edited by aksumite; 08-09-2012, 01:00 PM.Comment

Re: Will Player Stories Relate in-game?
We are talking about DURING gameplay coming from Nantz and Simms. Most of us already know many personalities will be tweeting about what is unfolding in our league. But we want to know if Nantz and Simms will also be talking about these stories while I play a game. I personally don't see it happening, at least not this year.the answer is YES 100%

Re: Will Player Stories Relate in-game?
It will probably be another missed opportunity for EA/Madden to do something a bit groundbreaking. It's something that definitely SHOULD happen but you just know it's not in the game as it should be. I'm sure they would have mentioned it to drive sales by now. It's a shame, it's like they refuse to breakout and do something truly new & innovative. Having the in-game commentators talk about an issue that's coded into the storyline system would be great though.Comment

Why do we have to wait to next-gen NBA 2K already has this and other sports games too.Comment
