I was just curious but does anyone still have the roster file or know which file it is that 2k released that made it so Dwight Howard would decline his player option for the 2012-2013 season and become an unrestricted free agent? I know I can just cause mayhem by using the Magic and the player roles feature in Association mode but I actually hate using that feature. I plan on swapping that Dwight with the current Dwight so my association will be as legit as possible.

Just edit his contract. You don't need to control the Magic to do this. Just set his second year to "0k" and turn the option to "none". That doesn't guarantee that he won't resign with the Magic, but it might help. -

Haha.. I had a feeling someone would provide that answer.. Yea I've done that many times and he always resigns for like another 5 plus years. This is because the current Dwight Howard is very loyal in association due to him opting in for next season..It just about guarantees he resigns ever time. Before the trade deadline this past season, the Dwight Howard 2K updated had a somewhat loyal rating and he would more often than not enter free agency.. That made associate much better because I was actually able to sign him to the Nets in the off-season. But anyways I do thank you for your suggestion.Comment

UPDATE!!!!!!! I have since located the 2k file I was looking for. I have swapped that Dwight Howard with the current Dwight Howard and now he says he wants to enter free agency once the off-season comes.

UPDATE #2 Swapping Dwight Howards will cause game to think Dwight Howard is J.J. Reddick when you try to trade for him or sign him in the off-season

I downloaded an old 2k update and saved it then I enter season mode with those rosters using the magic and I exported the team. After, I uploaded my roster file and loaded the exported magic team. Once that is done you can swap the exported Dwight with the current Dwight.Comment
