Michael Dyer: Million dollar talent. Ten cent brain.

Dismissed from Arkansas State for breaking team rules. Apparently got stopped by a cop back in March had guns/weed on him. Cop didnt arrest him and didnt tell Gus. Jonesboro local media FOIAd the dashboard cam and set the ball rolling. Damn shame for such a great talent.

I'd imagine that Dyer's next relevant football-related destination is the NFL Combine next February, unless he goes the DII route.

He was dumb enough to have weed and a gun, but to do 96 in a 70 while you have those in your car is just a completely different type of stupid.

I can't see any coach taking him now. Athough it would be funny to see him go to central arkansas on his tour of arkansas schools

The FOI was from the paper in Searcy, not Jonesboro.

I just don't get it. What goes through these athletes brains that makes them think they're untouchable? Not much seems to be the answer because you see this time and time again. Maybe its just shear stupidity. You would think one incident would be a reality check, but apparently not.

Anyhow, it's sad to see such talent wasted over and over again by not just this kid, but others you hear about too.

Well, it has to be said.

Tough break for a good kid.

Athletes are just like regularly people but have a gift.

Some people just think they can get away with stupid crap. Sad though because these kids have gotten a opportunity that very few get and they choose to blow it for nothing.

How far can someone fall ?

He went from being the true MVP of the BCS National Title game, as a freshman, to this.

I always said I would miss his ability on the football field, but I won't miss his attitude towards the team and life.. I actually was pulling for him to straighten up in Arkansas State and wasn't mad for him heading there, because it was the most logical transfer for him.
