Re: NBA 2K13 Video - Executive Produced by Jay Z
Ahh, now we're getting somewhere.:wink:What part of "Executive Producer" refers to the soundtrack for NBA 2k13?
What that means is that he gave VISUAL CONCEPTS a certain amount of money so he can give some input into the game. It's obvious that his product (Music) will be in the game as an incentive for providing said money.
I hate to speculate but...
Maybe it's a new mode involving GMs and owners from how to "market™" a team to running your business from the ground up®
Everybody should start to learn how to bend over, because 2k and Visual concepts will need as much space as possible, just so you they can shove an exuberant amount of DLC up your a$$.
Here I am. The jaded old man that used to write down stats in a notebook...because the art of digital stat saving did not exist (1989).
I'm tired of these year-to-year updates. I'd understand if NBA LIVE and 2K were operating systems but they are hardly a new innovative-doo-hickey that blows the minds of every little seven-year old around the world.
So the dunks look like they are 5FPS smoother than the previous year. Do we all have to spend $60 every year for the same crap! (Rhetorical).
Sorry to be this guy...I used to remember when playing an 82 game season was all I looked forward to. Maybe I over did it with the basketball video games. Maybe the learning curve is entirely too high for and old geezer like me? I've often wondered if my lack of skill, was the detrimental factor to my success, or lack thereof.
Am I crazy to say that trying to play defense and trying to pass the ball is harder than Chinese algebra?
Sincerely,

Re: NBA 2K13 Video - Executive Produced by Jay Z
So the folks over at 2K Sports assume everybody who plays the NBA 2K basketball franchise listens to Jay-Z? What about the minority of folks that don't listen to Jay-Z? How will you cater to that group? I really don't mind listening to Jay-Z but from an marketing aspect you are taking the overall consensus popularity here by getting one of the best rappers out there. You will gain some supporters, you will lose some supporters. Hopefully for 2K the margin for addition is better than the subtraction.Comment

It doesn't matter who listens to Jay Z and who doesn't. I'm still waiting for someone other than "the process" to realize whats going on here lol.:wink:So the folks over at 2K Sports assume everybody who plays the NBA 2K basketball franchise listens to Jay-Z? Hopefully this was made from an early build of the game because blake doesnt have his hair updated, durant look off, and for the love of god fix the jerseys already, im getting sea sick from all the waves their giving off. Movements look smoother but then again that can just be all the video magic applied.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Video - Executive Produced by Jay Z
2k12 is the only game i ever intentionally broke the disc for...was hard for me to not put it in my disc tray to end up feeling frustrated and undermined for the sake of new comers and broken gameplay..just hard for me to live with something i love being so provoking to me.
with that said it makes the anticipation of corrections and restorations even more so important to me that info like this just bounce off meaning nothing
i guess am not over the disappointment of 2k12 that 13 is going on an uphill to me....but until i see not hear of, but see or play 2k13 then all this is just time spent till thenHumans fear what they dont understand, hate what they cant concur i guess its just the theory of manComment

Re: NBA 2K13 Video - Executive Produced by Jay Z
i don't see why they would put under armour in the game. their sneakers suck and only 1 well known player is sponsored by them which is Brandon Jennings.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Video - Executive Produced by Jay Z
You mean like when Kobe was on the cover of 2k10 and they didn't have the right mid line color or the Lakers blackout? lol
Then again 2k probably used some of that Jay-Z money for the virtual arena alone.Comment

Brandon Jennings, Kemba Walker, Derrick Williams, Greivis Vasquez, to name a few, are all sponsored by Under Armour. Have you ever hooped in a pair of Bloodlines?? It's actually a great shoe. Just thought I'd share that since you seem to be on the negative side of this issue.Last edited by mreyes930; 07-31-2012, 01:59 AM.San Antonio Spurs
