Players Transferring (Dynasty Mode)

Has anyone else had a ridiculous amount of players transfer in their dynasties? Almost my entire freshman class (red shirts) transferred due to lack of playing time.

I have never had this issue before, and I think it may be because of the OS Community rosters. Freshman in the game were bumped up to better reflect generated freshman in the game, but with such high OVRs, they want more playing time (and to not be red shirted). Losing almost an entire recruiting class just killed my dynasty

Anyone else had this issue, whether it be with the PS3 OS rosters or not?

There is a (sort of cheat-y) workaround for this. At the end of the season, for the guys you're worried about transferring, drop their speed, awareness, or any other significant skill to 0. Make sure you record their rating for later. This will drop their overall ratings so low they won't transfer. After you're done with all of your off season activities, you can go in and edit your players speed, awareness, or whatever else you dropped back to what it was.

EA increased the volume of transfers this season to better reflect real life. Go through a roster and you'll realize how many transfers do occur. I didn't even think it was so much until I started doing roster edits with the OS rosters.

If the player is young and can start elsewhere, expect them to go. It's an interesting challenge, it stops people's abilities to stock pile young talent.

That's sucks if players that were redshirted the yr before are leaving. So for example if I redshirted FSU freshman Jameis Winston so he could compete for the starting spot next season & still have 4 yrs to play. There's a good chance he may transfer? I'm sure it happens in real life though. But I will be really disheartened to see so many players I redshirted transfer. I understand if a guy not reshirted wants more pt.

I still would like to see better declaring early logic. Was bad last year with Andrew Luck being 99 and always staying for his rs sr year, and this year I keep seeing marcus lattimore and woods in 2013, but some 84ovr LG from UCF declares? Ridiculous

I had three transfer my first year at A&M.

Ironically I have never had anyone in the past three NCAA games transfer to my school.

Yeah the draft logic isnt great either, I just finished my first season of my Utah dynasty, and my best player 95 ovr DT Star Lotulelei wasnt drafted, despite being first team All-NCAA, and a finalist for numerous major awards

Like I said, try checking their AWR, the game factors (used to at least) that heavily in terms of who stayed, who went and who never declared.

When I did a dynasty with Alabama on NCAA 12, I shockingly enough had Prentiss Waggner DB for TENN and Onterio McCalebb RB for Auburn transfer in... kinda weird with such high profile guys but hey it does happen!

When I read this I became curious so myself and chicagopax did some testing to see what was wrong with the draft logic. What we found was this: First, the higher a players AWR, the higher they will be drafted. AWR seems to be the most important rating, especially for skill position players. Second there is a glitch that causes defensive tackles to not be drafted. For whatever reason, no defensive tackles are being drafted. This is why you are not seeing Lotulelei be drafted.

In my OD, computer controlled Memphis pulled in 10 transfers in a season!
