The D-Line should be spectacular, and that really makes the back 7 look a lot better. Having said that, I don't think the back 7 are anything special. They got absolutely torched a ton last year.

And I still have questions about Fitzpatrick, but a friend of mine is producing a new Buffalo Bills radio show so he's been at every practice and he says Fitzpatrick has looked fantastic so who knows.

Cool, I hope said station has streaming capabilities and when it's on the air you can let us know about it

As long as the front 4 can get consistent pressure our back 7 will look a lot better. Any QB can find an open receiver when they can sit in the pocket with no fear of it collapsing.

Yeah, I guess the question is are the front 4 better than the back 7 are bad? If so, we already have won the defensive battle. Let's hope the back 7 can be opportunistic too. We know Byrd can grab a few INT's.

I'm honestly not too worried about Fitz. If we run it like we can and the defense isn't a total sieve, his job won't be as important to our success. It's going to be a very interesting and exciting season.

Radio show is on WGR 7-9 every night. And I believe they have podcasts for each episode and I believe you can also go back and listen to the old episodes on their web site (not sure what that site is though).

It's the new John Murphy show. So excited for my friend to finally get a job producing a radio show. And it's a bonus that he gets a couple tickets for each game too.

Edit: Found a link to the website

Yeah, I really hope Gailey leans on the run game this season. He's had a tendency to fall in love with the passing game the past couple seasons. This should be a run-first team.

Don't they run a lot of hurry up which leaves a lot of the run/pass decision in the hands of the QB?

While Jackson and Spiller are both healthy they need to be running A LOT.

Wow, I actually don't really remember even though I watched every single game lol. I remember them talking about running a hurry up offense, but I don't really remember them doing it very often.

Can't say I remember either, I just remember the talk... and didn't watch as many Bills games as you. I know that's generally the case in that type of offense... even saw it in the few times the Ravens did it (and Rice getting less than 10 carries, ugh).

They did run a good bit of no-huddle in the beginning of the season when the offense was successful and also healthy. I'm not sure what kind of offense they plan on running this year but I believe that the no-huddle will be a part of it

Yeah they did run a bit of no-huddle early in the year but it wasn't the hurry up style but rather just going to the line and having Fitzy make adjustments from there. I think the no-huddle will be part of the offense as well but I believe they will at least make an attempt to run the ball more to keep Fitz healthy.

                          Re: Official Buffalo Bills Thread

                          My keys:

                          1) Will the O-Line (whomever the "final five" turn out to be) FINALLY be solid (and injury free)?

                          2) Will Marcus Easley finally be injury free and contribute in a substantial way?

                          3) Will Brad Smith take the Number 2 job at QB away from Thigpen / Young?

                          4) Will McGee fend off the "youth movement" at corner?

                          5) Will Chan and company FINALLY find a "sweet spot" in the offence for Spiller?

I'm pleased to see that pre season projections find the Bills in the Wild Card hunt...

However, I just hope that they keep us dialed in from the gate to the the final whistle in (at least) Week 17...

                          Go Bills!

I haven't been this excited for a Bills season since 2004. They have to remain healthy and consistent to compete with the Jets and Patriots. We need a big season from Mario Williams and Mark Anderson, while finding a solid starting cornerback duo will also be key. I'm just hoping the 13 year playoff drought ends for our Buffalo Bills.

Speaking as someone who thinks this is 'our year' to return to the playoffs, I think we need to temper our expectations a bit. We're in one of the toughest divisions in football. We have to play Belicheat and Brady twice a year. The Jets are something to laugh at but they could pull a game from us.

I'm still not sure that Buddy and Chandler are really our guys.
