    Contract Interest Bar

Anyone experimented with adding additional money to a maxed out interest bar? Does this change the outcome of a contract signing? I don't want to spend unnecessary money on a free agent if it doesn't give me the edge to sign a player.

Woops I didn't see what you were saying at first, but I never tried it. If his interest bar is maxed and he won't accept I'd personally just give up. He has the max interest!

I only overpay if I'm trying to get a star player or a high potential RFA. Offering player options and no trade clauses (to those who can get one) is also a good way to increase your likelihood of getting the player.

This is true, but I don't know what it is but sometimes you can't give no trade clauses. Also there's some players who just won't accept 1,000 less dollars. For example, I offered Greg Oden:
        Bench Warmer
        1 Year
        5.76m
Team Option and he was still a little interested.

        I then offered him:
        Star
        5 Years
        Player option
Took away 1k and... no interest at all.

I believe NTC's can only be offered to players with 8+ years of experience, but I may be wrong about this.
