Re: anybody have success with punt returns yet?
I average possibly about 15 yds a return. now kickoffs are different, ive already returned 2 for TD. but on a punt return, there's always one guy way down field by the time the kick happens, so run opposite of him, try to get some blocks and what i do, if you have a speedy returner is to break to the opposite side of the field, and hope that you get some blocks. -
Re: anybody have success with punt returns yet?
Nope. I'm actually having to call fair catches now. Never really had to do that the past couple of years. I may have had a couple 10 yard returns, but most are only about 5 yards if I even attempt to return it.Comment

Re: anybody have success with punt returns yet?
I've been able to return a couple. I usually call a return left/right to the wide side of the field and then just look for the lanes when I return. On my long returns I usually end up taking it all the way across the field like in this one against NC State:

Re: anybody have success with punt returns yet?
I've returned a couple to the house.. Mostly with guys like Tyrann Mathieu and such. Just depends on the returner and if you get a couple good blocks. I've gotten negative yards. Fumbled punts. Had to fair catch. But I average around 15 yards. It just varies. Which is how it should be.Comment

Returned one for a TD with Marquise Goodwin. Try to have your fastest guy returning and try to get to the sideline if you get some blocks you have the possibility to go for 6.Football: Arizona Cardinals

I returned two straight with Greig Reid who is now off the team vs. and FCS team. The lanes were perfect.Comment

Re: anybody have success with punt returns yet?
This year I have noticed you need to fair catch more to avoid fumbles than what was required before. That said I have returned 1 all the way and been close a couple other times playing one season with Idaho and most of a season so far with FAU and therefore not having great return men. If you have the speed to go across the field and turn the corner that is probably the easiest way. Otherwise you have to hope great blocking will open a lane you can get through.Comment

Re: anybody have success with punt returns yet?
Playing on heisman against FCS teams I can usually get 2 a game on five minute quaters. lol. I use Stefon Diggs and he is pretty fast so you can get yards easily. Also I bring back a D line man back near the returner sometime to get an extra blocker."YOU MAY ALL GO TO HELL AND I WILL GO TO TEXAS"

Re: anybody have success with punt returns yet?
Returned 2 punts and 5 kickoffs for TDs. I am averaging around 8-10 yards a punt return and 23-25 yards a kick return. It is harder this year, to do either, and I am glad for it. In 12, in one of the online dynasties I was in, my kick returner had 12 total TDs in 2 years. He led nation in kick return and punt return average and in TDs in both categories. He was only 83 overall, but decided to go pro as redshirt sophomore, otherwise I would probably have had 20-25 total TDs with him over a 4 year stretch.Comment

Re: anybody have success with punt returns yet?
Some, probably most online dynasties, consider manually bringing a Dlineman back to be cheesing. The 4 down " defensive lineman" on punt return coverage are usually linebackers unless you formation sub them in.Comment

Re: anybody have success with punt returns yet?
No I don't do it except in practice. It gives you a little bit more time so you can find out which lanes you need to take. It is great practice."YOU MAY ALL GO TO HELL AND I WILL GO TO TEXAS"

Re: anybody have success with punt returns yet?
last year I was almost always tackled immediately but this year I have already had plenty of 10 yard plus returns. I know I'm not doin' anything differently so it's got to be the gameComment
