I'm pretty sure that Yankees offer was confirmed and was stacked:
Gardner, Nova, Betances, Montero, and Banuelos. Those were 5 highly touted A's back in the day and the Mariners turned it down. So yes they're are systems with 6 to 8 young A's. There isn't 20 in real life like you said
