    Help me understand why.

Outside of your reasons, anyone following training camp (or paying attention to them as prospects) would see the massive gap in talent between the two.

May be wrong here but I'm pretty sure that's the way it has been.
But do you have any idea how short/mid/deep accuracy work? Like how does a 78 short accuracy translate on the field opposed to 90 short accuracy in Madden?

Don't know the specifics but from what I've noticed in my time playing madden:

        A) The corresponding accuracy rating has a small but noticeable effect on the placement of the ball w/o the use of lead passing.

        B) The use of lead passing I've found to really stress the difference between accurate and inaccurate QBs. I notice this mostly on streaks where u can reallllllly throw the ball way off with a mid 70s deep ball accuracy if you try to lead the pass. Whereas with a highly rates deep ball QB they can still throw precision passes (with the occasional overthrow by a couple steps.)

I suspect that both types of passes have pinpoint accuracy differentiation as well. I've noticed my QB being able to hit WRs in stride a lot more often with a higher accuracy rating whereas with the less accurate QBs the ball is most often thrown right at the WR best case scenario.

Those following training camps around the league are hearing Robert Griffin III is struggling somewhat (holding on to the ball too long, making bad coverage reads).

I am not saying Cousins is his equal, I just don't think the talent gap is 11 points different overall. The Skins' got a steal in Cousins and whilst I could go on as to why I believe it was a mistake to draft him, I think he is a little closer than roster editors have rated him.

          Just my opinion.

Apparently 68 of the 113 Quarterbacks throw on the run equally the same.

Not sure if anyone has said that yet, but that's the big thing I noticed.

How you seeing all stats? I just saw overall, throw accuracy and throw power with speed. How you all swing throw on the run and such?

Re: Madden NFL 13 Ratings - Complete QB Ratings

I was fairly disappointed in the QB ratings when released. My confidence in Donny Moore certainly took a hit. Andrew Luck isn't known for a strong arm and yet he has a 93 THP? Rivers arm is weak and 88 is too high for him imo. Peyton Manning has the same arm strength as his brother despite every report out there saying his arm strength is really down right now and that college kids were throwing the ball 15-20 yards downfield further than him at his passing camp.

I won't rehash all the deep ball arguments as I agree with many in this thread - they are just done poorly. I know one poster a while back had stated he had talked to Donny Moore on a conference call and he didn't use many stats or metrics to come up with his stuff but rather relied on opinion. That's not good enough when you take away our ability to edit the ratings for CCM.

I am curious to see if we will be able to find a roster workaround for the game. With NBA Live 10 rosters we were able to sneak rosters from one file to the next through USB saves by copying and pasting the roster data but keeping the profile name the same. I wonder if we edited the rosters but then copied the roster data over to an official EA roster file if we would be able to cheat the system and do this? Maybe EA has blocked this or it's not possible in Madden but I'd like to see if it's possible.

I agree whole heartedly with this. I have never edited player ratings ( you can't in online franchise) nor do I intend to, but when you take the power to edit ratings away from the people that DO like to do that, you have to do better than this. Some of these ratings are quite atrocious. I'm sitting here scratching my head, trying to figure out how he came up with some of these ratings. I mean how in the hell is Josh Freeman and RG3 gonna have a better DAC than Brees? How in the hell is Cam Newton's DAC 75? I have a few other gripes as well, but these 2 are my biggest. The only thing I can think is that he was busy working on Madden 13 on Sundays and didn't get a chance to actually see these guys play. I've tried to come up with some other explanation, but nothing else fits. I looked at the complete ratings sheet and it honestly looks like he pulled some numbers out of a hat for some of these ratings. This is bad man. I feel sorry for you "player editing" guys. If the rest of the positions are like this, it might be a blessing that they took ratings editing out. Otherwise you'd prolly spend all your time changing ratings instead of playing.

Online Dynasty is going to be sick if you can get together a group of guys who will reliably meet up and play through some seasons. Even better if everyones got smartphones, then we can really get in eachother's ear (and palm) about how dominant our teams are! Thank you EA and good luck to everyone who is trying to get together with strangers and play a coherent career.

Apparently, we aren't the only ones to notice that these ratings are off. Reading this:

                        Spoiler

just makes this whole thing worse. It really is time to get rid of the ratings Czar. One man's opinion, (cause it looks like that's all he's using for these ratings) should not be the sole factor in determining ratings and, subsequently, determining our experience in this years game. If EA's gonna do away with editing ratings they need to do away with the ratings czar. Maybe, it's time for a ratings parliament or a ratings congress lol.

Re: Madden NFL 13 Ratings - Complete QB Ratings

Madden players ratings have always been a complete joke IMO. They need to bring back editing ASAP and also allow custom rosters online where both users must have identical rosters and that way you could have guys creating great edited roster and users playing rosters that they feel better reflect the players.

How cool would it be to play online with a roster that one of the roster gurus made with a bunch of edits that helps the game play better and also cleans up the original butchered attributes that don't even come close to reflecting the players true skills.

EA...Just make the game as best you can and then let us take over with as many editing options as possible.
