Madden 13 on Xbox or PS3

I purchased a PS3 this year for MLB the Show and have always purchased Madden for Xbox, but was wondering if I should change it up and buy it for PS3 this year. I love Xbox better, but with the great play and graphics from the Show just wondering if Madden looks and plays better on PS3.

JMO but I play all my sports games on XBOX except the show which is PS3 exclusive.

XBOX 360 in my opinion. The Kinect feature should be cool.

I only played Madden on PS3 here in Australia if only because PS3 was region free and this was the only way I could play NCAA which gave me the ability to import rosters.

no longer have my xbox anymore because i rarely played xbox exclusives and all games i played i can play on my ps3 as well so i sold it...but if i did have my xbox i would buy the game on xbox for the sole purpose of cross game chat

I own both ps3 and xbox. I started by buying the ps3 version's football games, but was really disappointed in the graphic area. I would never buy a ps3 football game again 360 is way above the ps3 for madden or college football. ps3 with the all the jaggies and just looks like garbage imo. I feel bad for the ps3 owners out there.

No need to feel bad for PS3 owners,I currently have NCAA for the PS3 and the game looks pretty damn good to me.

If you still pay for Peer to Peer Online play, that should be free like it is everywhere else...then you should probably get it for the 360 and get your investment worth.

if you don't pay for Live anymore...then you could get it for the PS3 and still be able to play online.

Graphics are not that different.....unless EA messes up something again, and they'll eventually patch it...like they did for the dome stadium field turf glitch.

EA makes Madden and NCAA for Xbox and then ports it over to PS3. You can see a considerable difference between the PS3 NCAA 13 and the Xbox NCAA13. Also remember the grass texture issues they had with the PS3 version last year from the port. I have both systems so looks like I'll be buying for Xbox.

Anyways.. 360 (played both Madden 12's and no contest at all especially with sluggish menus etc..) NCAA 13 is also better on 360.
Just how EA ports them.

Wzup fellas. Just like some of the others on the board, I have both console as well and this is always an issue for me year in year out. I want to get the best experience for my dollar so I will test NCAA and Madden extensively on both consoles for weeks before settling on one lol. Just yesterday, I returned the ps3 version of NCAA for the 360 version and like always...couldn't have been any happier. Like some of the guys said earlier the ps3 copy seems to be just another port. Ex: jaggies, choppy gameplay post and pre-snap, graphics, and menu lag makes the game seem extremely unpolished in comparison with the 360 version. There is an unbelievable difference in the menu responsiveness when recruiting on the ps3. The ps3 version responds 2x slower and can be game breaking considering how timely the recruiting process is already.

I have a PS3 and XBOX, PS3 was originally purchased for the purpose of playing the show. I tried one sports game on PS3, NBA 2k12 and I will not try another one. There was a significant difference in graphics and smoothness of animations, it was a large enough difference that I sold my PS3 copy and purchased the game for XBOX. I also see other PS3 owners regularly complain on OS about PS3 sports game graphics being sub-par compared to XBOX. I've specifically seen this complaint with the NCAA football series so i'd imagine it would be a similar situation with madden.

I bought Madden 12 on ps3 a couple weeks ago for 9.99 at Best Buy and I had played Madden 07-12 on 360 exclusively. The menus run quite a bit slower, the graphics aren't quite as good (especially the field texture), the play call menu takes a half second longer before you can select your play.

BUT....there is an awesome nostalgia with playing Madden with the dualshock controller. If you played a ton of ps2 Madden then you Know what I mean. It just feels right and all that other stuff (negatives) can be forgotten. Unless you are constantly switching back and forth between the two versions you won't even care.

If you are expecting MLB the show type graphics then you will want the 360 version.

Xbox, 3 reasons:

-Kinect
-How much people play online
-Roster makers here on OS (especially if Gameface is in Create a Player, I think a LOT of Classic Teams gonna be created Accurately)

I own both consoles, and have bought madden and nba 2k for oth several years.

I know some people wouldn't notice no matter what, but the graphics are a lot better on the 360. I wish that wasn't the case, because I wanted to stick with the PS3, but after seeing the difference I have to buy it on 360.

Changing your TV settings will NOT get the PS3 to look like the 360, it isn't just the contrast/gamma/color differences that makes it inferior...
