Some of you guys are fools to even say a game is bad, when you have not played it or seen a near finished product of it. It makes no sense to criticize it. I seen the 2K13 gameplay and 2K is doing what they have been doing for 3 years now, which is selling the same game over and over again. 2K12 actually sucked, I was hoping it was good because I wanted a basketball game to play but it was junk. EA does need to make a splash because 2K is giving us more of the same as they said and if its like 2K12 I dont want it. But overall you should not judge either game based upon what you read and videos of other guys playing it. Also if you hate Live so much stop looking at articles about it. -
Re: Is the NBA Live 13 Cover Athlete, LeBron James?
OK so here is my wacky thought...I think if this truly is the "cover" it shows that all signs are pointing toward a digital distribution of the game.
#1 it doesn't follow EA's 2013 template.
#2 PS3, why because PS3 usually is able to get out digital stuff on there service before Xbox does.
Anyway another 2cents from me on this whole thing. Now just waiting for a certain user to shoot my thinking down like they do to everyone else in these forums! It's 'Sconnie not wiscy!!!!!Comment

I see nothing wrong with that cover. It really looks more artistic with it's painterly look and effects. Gonna be interesting to try and replicate it if your trying to do your own custom cover with that style.Comment

Does Anybody know wen EA is announcing the actual cover player. I honestly think it should be LBJ but u never know wat EA is gonna do next. U think there gonna kill it this year after working on a game for 3 years then they are silent for months. I actually wanna play a different ball game other than 2k for onceComment

Re: Is the NBA Live 13 Cover Athlete, LeBron James?
So are you saying you're willing to stake your professional rep on it being authentic?I'm a professional graphic designer and by the consistency of the art (pay close attention to the background which has the same visual flavor of the polygons on his right forearm) I'd say it could be the real deal. It's really different from the other EA covers but as somebody wrote earlier, they might want to make the game stand out from the pack.
EA would be wise to make a splash and going with LeBron. They need all the help they can get to get the Live brand going right now.Comment

OK...
... Wait... What??? Do as you say, not as you do?
So WHAT does the EA cover art have to do with 2K? This while addressing a crowd that was OK with EA basing this game off of what was done right with Live 10 and some of the spirit of Elite 11. Some folks make NO sense at all.Comment

NBA Tape Delay 13(LiVe13) is a train wreck in the making... unless they have something HUGH up their sleeves. If they've figured out how to make a FUN basketball title gameplay wise then we can see the second NBA2k13 patch REALLY addressing the games issues.
We all know 2K will be broken out of the box(as usual) and will drop patch#1 to fix online issues. By the time that patch is released we as a gaming community will have had time to realize the bs,glitches and other broken things that need to be patched(ex. speed and alleged scripted comebacks). This year the competition was nonexistent so the problems with 2K still exist after 4 patches.
I remember saying how 2k11 should have just added Downloadable Content as 2K12 and patched the gameplay even further. It would've been better than 2k12 I believe.Playing NBA 2K feels like a job that pays minimum wage and then cuts your pay when you get your Bill's right to make it even harder to succeed. I do not like this game but it's the only one in town.
At cheese, I'm trash. At basketball, I'm great!

Re: Is the NBA Live 13 Cover Athlete, LeBron James?
So, I've gone through the thread and I haven't seen anyone connect the most obvious dots: IF it's true that they are going to go digital distro only, isn't it a waste of money to invest THAT much money in a cover athlete? And we KNOW LaDouche will cost a GRIP of cash! The OTHER thing that's dubious to me is the HIGHLY convenient timing on top of the fact that EA is as good as Apple at keeping things under wraps. It's RARE that someone is THAT loose with such a HUGE marketing item at EA. The "insider" is either full of it, this is a staged leak, it total fake, or in the event it's real - this person has a wish to be fired immediately.Last edited by Boilerbuzz; 08-06-2012, 07:10 PM.Comment
