Madden NFL 13 Demo NOT Coming Tuesday, Most Likely August 14th

I appreciate that, but I've seen these videos the moment they came out, which is roughly going on two months ago now. From what I understand, there have been tweaks and improvements to the game engine and fluidity since that E3 build...and I would like to see what a recent build of the game has to offer in some "Raw gameplay footage."

Tons.... E3 build was seriously early.

The later we get the demo... The closer to retail it will be = great for people who are on the fence.

That also means that Gameplay SHOULD be much more polished.

It is a bummer that they are waiting an extra week before putting the demo out. But what can we do accept wait it out. I guess EA has their reasons for waiting.

You guys do know that releasing the demo on the 14th still gives you 2 whole weeks with the demo before retail release, right?

That is more than enough time to get a feel for the game.

Why is this a shock?

Madden 12 Demo - August 9th Release - August 30th (3 weeks)
Madden 11 Demo - July 27th Release - August 10th (2 weeks)
Madden 10 Demo - July 23rd Release - August 14th (3 weeks)
Madden 09 Demo - August 1st Release - August 12th (less than 2 weeks)
Madden 08 Demo - August 24th Release - August 14th (2 weeks post release)

I see a patten while none of these game were on last gen level notice that the best two 10 and 12 or the 2 games that were clearer improvements over the previous year the demo came on in 3 weeks the less stelar editons came out in 2 weeks of release. If you are confident about your product you want the public to get a taste of it and you want enought time to increase your buzz. Coming out with a demo just before release is not a positive sign. I just don't think EA is confident in this game to withstand us picking it apart.

Great...just great. Damn demo comes out on the exact day I go BACK to work. We have a 96 period starting this thursday at noon which ends tuesday morning which means an extended weekend for me. I was really hoping to have the demo over this time period.

Damn, right when my temperature was settling back down from the no editing/no draft class announcements, EA goes and throws a monkey wrench in my gears again. WTF is next? This game better be out of this world now, they better show and prove.

Or, if you want to tighten things up till the last moment, you do that for your customers before releasing a looser game.

and first off you have to understand that we also have early season ticket release. which means makes more sense to have the demo out on the 14th. then play demo till the 24th. 6:00pm download the full game for season ticket. play 4 days of the full game till the retail comes out. then on the 28th go by the game for 60$ and unlock and transfer all you stuff you done for the past 4 days. oh and Madden does not need to hype up or be flashy like NCAA13.Why? because it's madden the best football game period. no icon fading and receiver is open then qb over throws for a pick. like in ncaa 13. which i garbage i made add. And after seeing how trash NCAA13 was and the way they hyped and over did everything. why would they do that? When you know it's the best game always has been and always will be. Real life a receiver does not need to look for the ball everytime. smart qb and worried about the rust should see open guy fires it to him and he will catch it or drop it like wes did in the Super bowl. that is where ncaa failed was with the pass. receivers don't look doer the ball every time. and QB's throw it on the money weather they look or not. NCAa a fun game. But at the next level like in real life you should be able to throw the rock like a real qb. without having to worry about a garbage icon fade and get sacked or over throw the ball because wr is open but because icond fade he can't see it and the ball is right in front of him. madden has ncaa passing then it will suck. but like they said it's a better passing system than ncaa.

lokk at ncaa not waiting 3 weeks. like madden did. NCAa 13 patched like every year. trash like every year. and pure pile of garbage. it's a fun game. and will play it for College football season. but the gameplay is trash.Going to say i told you so and laugh when Madden 13. released it's demo on the 14th. and then come the 24 for season ticket release. and watch it destroy NCAA 13 head on. cause it's going to happen.Madden 13 does not need a patch as it's already a clear winner and they have not released a whole lot of stuff on there game. they don't need to because it's great. On the other Hand you Have NCaA13 releasing all this stuff videos info weak moads instead of fixing it's core gameplay. And look how that's tured out bugs,Freezing issues,online dynasty issues online Leader Board issues. another patch to fix gameplay. i mean come on. Why do you think they decided to cut the NCAA deal to where 2k Can pick up and make one. Because it's a weak EA team that has hurt NCAA. and added fluff. Like madden 06-10. Madden on the other hand has a great new EA team. a New Gameplay Engine. a Better passing system and more improved than NCAA. And real time physics engine. so on the bright side madden is on top off the game. Meanwhile NCAA has been on the same engine since 06 and nothing has really improved. so i will take madden doing this and fixing core stuff getting it ready. Than the 2 week hype train and having a garbage game on the selfs like we have seen time and time again. from the EA NCAA Football team. Glad we have smart guys at EA working on madden they know what there doing. does donnie go insane on his player ratings yes. but i will take that with a great game. than a loser and a garbage can one like NCAA. i Like NCAA still waste money on it for college football season. But don't touch it till saturday when madden hits the shelf.

why would you want Madden to destroy NCAA when they both should be going hand in hand i should be able to look forward to my SS that terrorized the collegiate gridiron being in Madden, but Im over that really dont have choice but to be over it this year. I think NCAA is good game and I hope Madden is a good game as well. They are both made by the same company why should one be so much better than the other?
