In my opinion LeBron is in the prime of his marketability, LeBron James is a household name whether its cause you like him or hate him. Like i said he could be one of the top 3 if not the most marketable athlete in the World. I don't think the decision had any negative affect on him, it helped him in my opinion.

And he did win a ring because of the decision, his decision to join up with Dwade and Bosh was the reason he got a ring.

I hope you know when people refer to "the decision" they are not primarily talking about his decision to leave cleveland for miami and play with wade and bosh. "The Decision" refers the live special aired on ESPN where he publicly announced that he would leave cleveland for miami. Its one thing for him to leave his hometown but the way he went about doing it was a terrible business decision and really hurt his public image. Not to mention the way him, wade, and bosh went on stage like they were rock stars and celebrated as if they had just won the finals. If you don't think the decision affected him negatively you must either live in miami or only associate yourself with people who are lebron james fans. The fact that the Heat are the most hated team in the league should be evidence enough that the decision hurt his image. Him winning MVP and the finals this year however is the best possible thing that could have happened to his career at this point.

the cover looks pretty cool. hoping they release the game and release it on time. i was looking forward to incorporating my 2k day off from work with some nba live as well.

I think LeBron is too business minded for that. I don't think he'd put his name on anything just for the money.

That's hard to say about Lebron or any athlete, especially for something like a videogame. Athletes are typically gamers, especially for sports games; EA sports is a well-known name to them. So if EA Sports, the biggest sports videogame brand in the world, approaches Lebron and says "You are the biggest name in your sport right now, we want you on the cover of our new NBA Live game. We will offer you X amount of dollars (possibly offer him a contract for multiple years)." Lebron might want to know how good the product will be but at the same time he is going to get his money either way. If Live flops with Lebron on the cover its no sweat off his back. Look at Durant he seems to be doing perfectly fine after Elite got cancelled.

That is exactly our point. Look at the number of replies and traffic for a fake cover. Good job on your part and nice to have action here but point being in the end the perception will be Live failed again...

I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that Lebron James will not be on the cover of Live 13. This cover doesn't even look real. It actually looks bad IMO. I'm not feeling the colors and design at all.

Not fabricating anything in my mind, never said game would be bomb, i said if LeBron was gonna be on the cover of this game then it couldn't be another NBA Elite. I'm sure he would do some research before putting his image on something.

Gilbert Arenas at his best was no where as marketable as LeBron is now. LeBron is already paid and makes about 40 million off endorsements a year, money alone can't be his sole reason for being on the cover (if it is him).

Gilbert Arenas would have taken any endorsement possible at that time. LeBron chooses who he wants to endorse because he is LeBron "King" James and has been dealing with business endorsements and situations since high school. He knows what he's doing.

Now I believe that if the cover really is LeBron James and he chose to put his image this game then Live 13 must have something to offer us gamers in terms of quality.
