Re: Blocking Punts and Field Goals
Are you complaining because you can't block kicks and punts 100% of the time? LOL. Please leave. -

Re: Blocking Punts and Field Goals
No. I am complaining because I cannot block field goals, XPs, or punts at all and that EA has (for yet another year) made special teams irrelevant.
Quit trolling.Comment

I've had one blocked FG for me, and it was CPU controlled.PSN-Shugarooo

Re: Blocking Punts and Field Goals
I don't think it should be something the user can do at will, but it should ABSOLUTELY occur randomly by the CPU (for and against Human team) based off line and kicker ratings ... Specials are FAR TOO IRRELEVANT yet one play can change an entire game.. Sad it's so neglected by ea.J-E-T-S

Re: Blocking Punts and Field Goals
Exactly what the guy above me said ^. It shouldn't be something YOU can do. But try what Boise State does. Load up the right or left side. Just manually control some guys and drag them over to either side. It's worked for me twice on punts so far. Only blocked one FG and it was pure accidental luck.
And I'm not trolling, you merely sounded like one of the many that just post on these forums complaining that they can't do something 100% of the time.Comment

Re: Blocking Punts and Field Goals
I managed to block a field goal using Roy Roundtree, its only ever worked once for me but i start to run around the 22-23 second mark on the play clock, sometimes i get round and miss with the dive but other times i cant even get round, it'll be unrealistic if you can block every attempt!Football: Birmingham City

i have blocked 2 and with each was my 97spd 99acc fs with 90BSH so i think you have to time snap perfect and get a cllear lane to the holder and dive!6'4 220

Re: Blocking Punts and Field Goals
Since the switch to PS3 I've never seen a blocked punt or field goal. Back in NCAA 07, the last PS2 NCAA game I played, blocks happened more realistically. The reason for the lack of blocks is the snaps are always quick and perfect on punts, the punter never bobbles a snap and boots it immediately. field goals get kicked very quickly as well, and there are never blocking miscues. One thing I also noticed was the diminishing of the impact player effect may have something to do with it. In NCAA 07, sometimes an impact player would jump the snap and be back there for the block when he was "in the zone", although normal players would pull this off as well just not often. It is a shame since I have never worried when the CPU lines up in Punt block, especially against a team like Virginia Tech whose superior special teams play can compensate when the offense is struggling.NFL:New England Patriots

Re: Blocking Punts and Field Goals
I've blocked quite a few, mainly XP's. I'm not allowed to try to anymore in one of my online dynasties. Just got to time it off the edge just right and dive early. There is also a glitch where if the ball goes through your player and goes through the upright it won't count the XP.Comment

Re: Blocking Punts and Field Goals
I've never blocked a Punt in an NCAA video game, except the one time in NCAA '06 with easy play, no offsides on haha.
But in NCAA '13 I have blocked one extra point, you have to time it just right. The CPU seems to always snap the ball on the extra point at the last part of 22 seconds on the play clock. I use the return guy in the back on FG block and move him in between of the far guy on the far right and the guy next to him. You'll be the second guy on the line of scrimmage from the end. From there you just have to time it right.Comment
