I've never had a problem with any of them, and its doubtful their opinions even make it in the game. Give me the person who is willing to do the most lines!

Wow, a lot of hate for Hill on here. I don't know where racist comes in. She is a talking head who thinks she's right about everything, but I don't see how that makes her a racist....Comment

Is there an option of none of the above?
Instead of worrying about the sideline reporter who speaks for maybe 6 minutes in a game lets get some new commentators. After 10+ years I can only take so much of Kirk Herbstreit. He is almost as insufferable as Chris Collinsworth was in the Madden series. A game this big with this many teams should have more than one broadcast booth. There would be plenty of room in the game if they did away with gimmick modes that no one uses like Mascot Mashup.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 14 Sideline Reporter - Jemele Hill, Shannon Spake or Shelley Smith?
Samantha Steele will all ready be on the sidelines for the Thursday night games and is taking over for Erin Andrews on College Gameday and will be utilized in the same way. These are all reasons why I think she's the most logical replacement.
In a perfect world, with two NCAA crews in the game, this is how I would do it.
Nessler/Blackledge/Rowe
Musburger/Herbstreit/Steele.
Also.. the thought that someone has to work the same job as someone else, in order to have an opinion about them, is ridiculous. When you're a public sports writer, commentator, etc.. you understand that you are open to any and all criticism. Everyone has been very civil about it. No one is giving examples or anything that would send the thread on a downward spiral. People are giving their opinions on the people in question.
I don't understand that argument at all.

Either way, please keep her far away from NCAA 14 because she doesn't belong. Samantha Steele or Shelley Smith are the only ones who would belong. And Samantha Steele would only be preferred if she was completely rendered in the gameComment

Re: NCAA Football 14 Sideline Reporter - Jemele Hill, Shannon Spake or Shelley Smith?
Jemele Hill being racist is laughable at best.I thought stuff like this was in violation of the TOC?
She may say some strange and sometimes dumb stuff but what ESPN personality hasn't at one point or another?...remember, it's ESPN. And besides the fact that Jemele is bangable, I'd like to see her on my TV screen a little more.
But in a nutshell, I'd rather not have a slideline reporter if it meant better gameplay.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Re: NCAA Football 14 Sideline Reporter - Jemele Hill, Shannon Spake or Shelley Smith?
I'm loving how people are sayin "no Jemele Hill she's awful" but have yet to give a single reason WHY she's awful I saw one post saying she only knows her stuff because she has it on paper in front of her.
News flash ALL sports reporters only know their stuff because they have it on paper in front of them. Is somebody gonna sit here with a straight face and claim either one of these other two broads would be on top of things if the producers didnt have the info laid out for them as well?? Get da **** outta here.
It'd take me too long to fully explain the Jemele Hill hate so simply google it and you'll have more than enough material to take up your time.Comment

LOL.
So because they don't work for ESPN, they aren't allowed an opinion? Qualified to work for ESPN? Really? I don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry. Sorry their opinion hurt your feelings, but they are entitled to it and nothing anyone has said has been out of line.
I hope you didn't say anything negative about NCAA 13 seeing as, you know, you don't work for EA.
So much to say about this post, but I'll just leave it at that.chuckcross.bandcamp.com

Those that don't understand the Jemele Hill hate it's very easy to see why people hate her, just do a google search or check her wikipedia page and see the controversy she's caused. She turns all of her articles and arguments into something racial and if you don't think this is true you just aren't paying attention.

Re: NCAA Football 14 Sideline Reporter - Jemele Hill, Shannon Spake or Shelley Smith?
You can't expect people to sugar coat everything. If someone feels a specific way about her, why shouldn't they be able to say it ? After all, we're talking about which of these people we would prefer in the game. I haven't seen anything out of line and if it was, a mod would have stepped in. The only thing out of line is this ridiculous argument/debate we're having about whether or not someone should be allowed to say they "hate" someone.
I also think you used a horrible analogy that doesn't make sense. I won't elaborate any further.
That's the word others are using, but not me. I don't hate her, I just hate 90% of the **** she says and I would rather not have to even hear her voice in a video game (even if it would rarely occur).
I may be missing your point completely, but that's what I get from your posts.
I reserve the word hate for other people more qualified.Last edited by AUChase; 08-08-2012, 10:37 PM.Comment

I don't need to Google Jemele Hill. I watch ESPN regularly and know who she is. I still don't think she's a racist. I think people who throw the racist label out there probably don't know what it really means. For the record, not that it matters though, but I'm a white dude sitting in his suburban living room typing this.
