Re: NCAA Football 13: Five Toughest Dynasties

I have been playing as New Mexico. Coming off three straight 1-11 seasons the first season was a tough one with Texas and TT on the non-conference slate and tough conference games with SDSU, Boise and a surprisingly good Nevada team.

Recruiting is difficult as they have no strong pitches other than PT or playing style.

I would swap out Oregon St. with Eastern Michigan. EMU has to recruit against 4 other FBS schools in state and not to mention the other BIG10 schools in the Midwest. Definitely a fun dynasty.

True but they only have about 5 seniors so it's easier to recruit the first year.

Look at research grant money (research) schools get in a year and compare that to the peanuts football brings in.

Surprisingly, UCLA looks as if it may be a difficult go this time around so I've chosen them. They have just one pipeline state(Cal), they must compete with USC who play in the same city, they're rated just two stars, and are introducing new offensive(Pro) and defensive(3-4) systems(not by default, but IRL Mora has changed to a Pro/3-4 setup so that's what I did). Should be fun!

UMass has a few transfers eventually added to later op rosters. It has been the funniest franchise I've done. Living in MA and happy to have a public institution represent our state is a plus.

I think that UMass is the hardest team to play a dynasty with.

Pfft. Recruiting is EASY. I was the OC at UMass for two years in my OD and had a top 30 recruiting class each year.

The second year is a mess though and you lose your best player (only 80 overall you have) after the first year

Sad, but true to see my Beavs on the list.

The play on the field is almost just as frustrating. Literally every 5 wide open interceptions do you get 1. The CB Poyer will lock-down the best receiver but after that it's a crap shoot. There is ZERO protection up front, and Agnew is slower than you'd want.

Along with no intangible pitches, it's a tough dynasty.

And the more and more I play with them in NCAA 13, the more and more I get nervous for this year.
                                I'm very worried.
