I'm loving the feel...but the collision is waaay too much. I'm seeing guys falling after the whistle is blown. Big O-Lineman falling down by just walking into someone. A lot of very weird animations (tackling). Maybe I'm being too critical. I love that EA finally stepped outside the box, but the new engine MAY have been rushed.

Couple immediate reactions after about 6 games:

-All Madden is a little ridiculous with user dropped passes and CPU broken tackles.
-Passing is already 100x better. Passes are much better placed and just make more sense overall.
-Lob passes actually work and dont hang in the air forever.
-Receivers actually catching the ball in stride for once is awesome.
-New pump fake system is amazing. Pump fake a deep post to open up streaks down the sideline. Possibilities for good QBs are endless.
-Blocking seems significantly better.
-Trucking with the new infinity engine is incredibly satisfying. Do yourself a favor and use Marshawn Lynch a few times.
-Receivers jumping catch animations are quick and simple not long and drawn out.
-Defense overall just feels right. Seems to get beat at the right spots and makes stops in the appropriate situations.
-Aside from playing on All Madden and having the computer truck over my whole team with Helu, honestly no BS to report feels realistic and balanced.

Overall I am more than impressed. This already feels like the best Madden in years. Can't say enough about infinity.

The individual pump fake was new in Madden 12 and never really worked that well IMHO.

Welp. I ran the Read Option the whole game with RG3 on All Madden. Ended up with 22 Carries for 90 yards. I would have had much more yards, but, of course, the DT stuffed me in the backfield a couple of times because my guard inexplicably didn't block him at the line of scrimmage.

Other than the dumbing down of my offensive line the Read Option was fairly effective on All Madden provided you made the right read.

LOL at running one play the whole game and your concern is the few times the guard didn't block.

after one game:

physics is really cool, but as stated above, there's some weird stuff after the play is dead.

on a 3rd and 2, i ripped off a long gain, got called for holding, and had a first down with the ball in the correct after-penalty spot. did i miss a rule change this year?

a couple of anomalies that took me out of the game, one was my fullback SLOWLY running into one of my pulling guards and getting thrown to the right like he was shot out of a cannon. it looked really bad.

overall, a good demo and i like the direction we're headed in. even though it sounds like i didn't like it, i really did have fun, and what's more important than that?

I didn't know you could pump fake to individual receivers last year. Seemed to work well for me in the demo..

Uhh hate to break it to ya guy... but the demo is "downloaded" to the hard drive? No one is running this demo off of a disc?

Problem is, what is in the demo usually shows up on the disc! And this failure will be no different.

If it's like NCAA 13, the pumpfakes are a lot quicker and more effective this year. I've gotten safeties to bite on my pump fakes a lot.

A lot of us who played fifa had some idea of what to expect with the new engine in the first year. Id say it looks good about 30% percent of the time. The other 70% guys are flying all over like its the wwe or power backs like marshawn lynch and brandon jacobs are being brought down with one arm. What bothers me the most with the new engine is players most of the time dont even try to wrap up or hold on, they just use their bodies like wrecking balls and slam into the ball carrier.

How old or new do you guys think the demo build is. I dont expect to see much improvement in the final product but i hope they can make the physics feel more satisfying. The way it stands now it doesnt feel like weight or momentum really matter at all.

That being said i think this is a good foundation for madden to build off of they just need to get the science down. Ill pass on 13 this year and hope they can really flesh it out for next year.

Just had one of the weirdest, awesomeness play to ever happen in Madden to me. I threw the ball to one of my recievers to the Right with RGIII and a line man put his hand up and deflected it. It then went towards the middle of the field and Moss dove and made a one handed catch on his back off of it. I was like the whole time.

I also seen the sucking catching gone so far. I threw the ball between two outstretched arms of a Corner and Linebacker right to Moss, it was amazing.

As said, so far I am liking it. Do not forget this is a demo and with the new engine, sure there are going to be little weird moments here and there. But the thing is, the infinity engine is hear to stay so it is only going to get better in the future. I am loving the demo. Can not wait to play CC. Well done EA, keep it up.

I am pleased they put sliders and other settings in the game (speed, threshold, penalties). Very nice touch.

Infinity engine can be seen even after the plays.

Commentary is a definite upgrade from Hammonds! Haha

are the sliders set up the same as last year. Or do they give us more options with them now. I hated the way sliders we're last year, i felt i was very limited to what i could change without completely destroying the gameplay.

I had a completely different take on commentary than you in my first game.

Nantz and Sims were still talking during one play, and the play broke for a TD. They stop talking mid-sentence and Nantz said TD, 49ers. IRL, Nantz and Sims aren't Mr. Excitables when big plays happen.

The commentary is much much better than last year when there was gaping holes in commentary all over the place.

I agree that it is better. It just needs a lift for me. It is improved but there is still logic errors where irrespective of whose voice it is, something different should be said. That's not to say they aren't any positives. I just wish the overall flow of this presentation element was better.
