Ok so i just finished a game on all madden beat the giants 58-10

alex smith broke the NFL record for pass TD's in a game

when he did there was no sound byte for it but there was a graphical overlay and cut scene celebration. im wondering if the sound byte just isn't in the demo?

either way this is the only football game on the market so i'll grin and bear it

lord i PRAY for the day sports companies just open their crappy code to at home dev's for modding. would fix so much of the fundamental BS that kills sports titles EVERY YEAR

@jpdavis1982 The Replay are much better in the full version I played, and the full version is better than the demo.

I believe it will be better but I also take the word of someone working with EA with a grain of salt.

hey guys is your kinect working, it does not recognize my voice i give it commands and it does nothing.

For those who are having trouble with connect you need to turn the volume all the way down on the T.V. because the connect sensor is hearing the crowd the announcers and you, therefore nothing happens when you try and use voice commands....kinda sucks that you have to turn the volume down but its a great feature to use, especially on defense...needs headset intergration.

I'm impressed by the infinity engine, much better than in Fifa 12. However the replays are absolutely terrible. They really destroy the presentation for me. Maybe in the full game they won't be as bad.

Haven't been able to play it yet but If its anything like NCAA then it is too far away. Yes you can see all your receievers but its so far zoomed out that you cant get immersed into the play like you could if it was just a little closer.

What are you even trying to say here? That just because the camera is zoomed out just a little more, it has completely broken your immersion?

Are you saying that you would feel more like that little virtual QB if the camera were "just a little closer"?

Nah I definitely know they are better, but the design/direction is still horrible. Just seems like they took steps back instead of improving on Madden 12.

I know what you mean, Sage. Madden 12 did a great job of broadcast-style camera cuts in between plays (i.e. focusing on the QB after a big throw, or showing a RB/WR returning to the huddle after a run/catch). It seems that Madden 13 went away from that or they don't show it as much. Other than that, I'm loving what I see in 13.

I'm enjoying the demo. But I'm not some super freak sim game guy. I just play the game to have fun.

Tomba Instant Review

Presentation yet again gets a major boost and now feels even more organic. I agree with some that say the camera is too far away BUT it pans in on the action well enough(guess we all have to get 60+ screens now LOL...well we ARE gamers arent we? hahahaha)

Gameplay feels great only way to put it even without slider tweaks seems they took my adive or stole it who know Either way playing Madden 13 is like playing football nuff said there...

It's demo but progressive lighting doesnt seem to be in. though NCAA's lighting isn't as good it felt like in NCAA's game the lighting changes changed onto what you saw on the field.

That said overall I like it not in love as it's not the full game yet time will tell until season ticket NOT Midnight Release like other years thank goodness

Progressive lighting and skies are in, at least in the NY@SF game and it's more realistic now so it happens throughout the game instead of at the beginning of quarters.

In the meantime, just watching some of the vids that Steve_OS has posted, and I certainly see more than two angles. During pre-play, I saw Vernon Davis highlighted as banner popped up showcasing his stats thus far in that game. I saw another example of an Eli Manning interception; after the play is over, the intercepting defender is shown and the camera cuts back to Eli to show his reaction.

So I certainly am not attempting to convince you that M13's camera work is better than M12 -- I just see more similarities than I do differences.

Can somebody tell how the pass interference slider is working out with the demo? Is anything being called and how is the pass blocking? Is the DE/DT doing that famous swat move and getting pass the OL again, even with the psychics engine?
