I guess I assumed when adding physics, they would've added better foot planting and momentum. I'm only a few plays in and I feel like I'm skating around like Sonic the Hedgehog. That is hugely disappointing.

I'd love to someday run with my RB where I have to pick the hole, make one move and take what happens. Not be able to move leftrightleftrightback all over the place.

I was beating the giants 10-3 with 2 seconds left. Giants have the ball on my 40. last play the giants run a weak outside toss.... The ****?

The player graphics look WEAK to me. The new engine is good, but still a downgrade with the graphics, IMO.

Call me crazy but I like the graphical downgrade. It's kind of a tad cartoony and reminds me of 05!

I love the game! I didn't buy Madden 12 (first time in 10 years without buying a madden). My only gripe on the game is it's way too fast imo. When I changed the speed to slow, it feels a lot like the ps2 madden gameplay wise. Which ps2 madden was my favorite. Hopefully they will let you play slow gamespeed on ranked games...

Must buy for me!

Playing my first game now. Granted, it's very very early, but ... typically, after playing The Show all summer, I feel like I've taken a giant step back when I first play the Madden demo. Almost like I've gone from PS3 back to PS2. For the first time, I feel like Madden is on the PS3.

A few quick hits: Slow with threshold at 0 feels good to me. I played Very Slow last year, but it feels too slow now. Normal is still too fast. Really liking that real undrafted free agents are in the game. Graphics are top notch. Animations are better. The new presentation is much better. Simms/Nantz are well ahead of Johnson/Collinsworth.

man, its been soooo long since I have been here.. I took a few years off of Madden I was so frustrated with EA.

Decided to give Madden 13 demo a shot.. and I am still disappointed overall.
I mean I do see some improvements, no doubt about that.

I absolutely love all the immersion, cut scenes, and all the on the field camera cut aways. They look stunning.

But the actual game... it still looks like a cartoon when playing from this camera angle, and the gameplay.. while better than years past still light years behind where it should be IMO.

This game stills feels like a last gen game to me, with polished up hi def graphics.

I still don't feel like I am in total control of what is happening on the field, and I just don't get the umph! feeling when hitting, getting hit, or exploding through the hole running.

I dunno guys.. not trying to hate here (i am over that by now), I just want more at this point..

I dunno, maybe I will try slower speed as some say here and it will feel better and not so jerky.. but right now its looking like another year of no video game football for me..

Its too bad too!! I cant seem to get that feeling of control or wow feeling!! Its like the game does all the work for you and you just kind of guide it!! Cant really explain how I feel and it seems things will never get better!! Hopefully franchise mode has some validity??

The thing I really like is the new Read and React system. The Defensive A.I is actually legit. But as a result, I have noticed that passing the ball is more difficult this year, in my opinion. I have had to run the ball a lot to have success, but I don't mind because that's the style of play that I like.

I think the people hating on this demo need to put down the crack pipe. It is just a Demo. Isn't the real game usually better?

Finally played a second game and there is just something off about the overlays and general network broadcast feel, even the scorebug. I like the starting line up graphic but the other overlays are just too light blue. I had to play a second game to confirm this and I don't understand why the color scheme for the graphics is so monotone. They should have just copied CBS and then added EAS (EA Sports) instead. Also, to Sage's point, the on field "live" and replay camera work is off somehow and I hope it's just because it's a demo.

Anyway, here is what I am talking about, notice how the real life CBS graphics have like a light blue trim but are mostly dark/blackish, also the real life scorebug doesn't seem as obstructive. Maybe it's the color settings on my tv that are making the graphical overlays look so cartoony in the demo, is anyone else noticing this?

EDIT- Just watched some uploaded videos on OS and the overlays look fine on there so it must be the color settings on my tv. Apologies to whom it may concern.

I'll leave a quick impression then I'm out:

First, this game is so far beyond NCAA and what that team has done that it's not even funny. There isn't a single thing that isn't better in Madden.

Second, this demo alone is the best Madden I've ever played, and maybe football game period. Graphics, physics, commentary, presentation, gameplay, etc, etc... everything is just great. The improvements these devs have made astound me. Madden 12 let me down a little after 11... But this game? Wow.

I love that you can post end game results to twitter and facebook i hope it works for online games to some of my boys try lying about the out come of the game would be great to put them on blast

How do you do that? it doesnt give me that option at at the end of the game..

It's the NFL for Christ sake. Go big or go home IMO.

NFL not World Wrestling....i'd like to know what NFL you watch where 90% of the hits are blow up hits. Also never ever seen a player run into someone on the ground and the runner slams down like he was hit by a Mac truck. It needs toned down.

Just a quick impression.

I haven't played Madden since Madden 10 and I only played about 8-9 games of that before I put it to rest. Again, this is just my opinion, but the game is absolutely awful. The running animations are terrible, everyone still looks like they're on steroids, and Alex Smith looks like he's 49 years old.

I'll be passing on Madden again this year.
