    Sad Sad Day......

Since my wife didn't care, I thought I would share with someone who will understand my pain. My mid August Mariners franchise is corrupt, they were in first place by six games (after I beefed up the lineup by trading away Felix). Sucks big time.

    How did it get corrupted?

That sucks. I'm in mid-August in mine too, and I'd be devastated if I lost it.

No clue, I never turn the power off during a save, always power off through the main menu. It was an in-game save.

That really sucks man. Same thing happened to me when I was playing MLB 2k10 and my Padres franchise corrupted. Bad timing I was in the playoffs too.

Same thing happened to me in my Astros franchise only I was in season two I believe. Back to my ways of double or triple saves.

It's always a good thing to keep at least two copies of your franchise files, saved at slightly different points (like a day or two) of your franchise.

This reminds me of the 1994 strike that started in August and wiped out the rest of the season and the playoffs, during a year in which the Expos were in first place.

Baseball rebounded from that debacle. You will, too.
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

I had started a Royals franchise perhaps in May?

Anyways, I did a complete team make over that resulted in me winning over 90 games well into September.

Literally THE LAST SERIES of September, my file gets corrupted.

I played every.single.game. Every single extra inning game. Every single nail-biter. Every single tough loss. Gone. Over 150 games. Gone.

Happened to me with MLB 10. Now I religiously back up my file weekly. I play every inning of every game for my team.

That sucks. Its a known issue and they still didnt fix it. Its always around that time too.

                        Corrupted files a "known" issue?
                        I don't think so.

....and while it's unfortunate to get a corrupted file....no offense....but how do you not have at least one previous backup file?

may not be a known issue but its not the first time i've heard of this.

                            I was wondering this too.

                            Anyway...

Let's suppose he didn't. Here's a serious question to anyone willing to fill in the blanks for me here:

When you save a game mid-way, doesn't it automatically create a NEW save file? Meaning, if this one corrupted, wouldn't the save from the same day (before the game was played) still exist? And wouldn't that one NOT be corrupted?
