this patch just saved me from trading in this game. so far........lol

i only have played 1 game. i have a dynasty with Trojans and i played against #10 Utah.

most fun game i have played yet! the CPU pass defense is much better. now mind you i didnt reset my sliders. i play with pass defense sliders on 75. still, the play of the cpu safeties were much better.

finally, i can break tackles with my RB. i can actually juke somebody now!!!!

im loving the game right now. with this and Madden, i am in football nirvana!

Why can't they fix custom conferences causing unbalanced conference schedules in the game? I mean. Wtf? How many years will this be an issue or, is this just something we have to deal with?

This is really killing dynasty for me at the moment

My impressions after a few games online and a few games offline.

1) The no huddle thing is a problem, not a solution to a problem. End of story.

2) The playbook glitch still exists where you call a play that is X'ed out and the team just huddles on top of the ball. Unacceptable (and supposedly fixed).

3) Game play itself is much better. Defenders seem to react more realistically to the run and option game, so that is encouraging.

4) Pass coverage is not better. Cover 2 still has safety problems, man under still suffers from route mirroring, zones are still static. The only change seems to be the sensitivity defenders have to guys in their area.

All in all, the patch helped gameplay but it hurt or failed to fix others. So basically par for the course.

only thing i care about is "is the strong safety/corner (whichever, but its on the strong side of the field) in cover 2 zone still letting the WR go down the field uncovered?"

Some of you guys are seriously ignorant.

Please tell me at what level the QB runs to the LOS and has to take 6 seconds to signal to his WR that he's going to have to spike the football. Don't worry, I'll wait.

Regardless of how you want to see, from one extent to another, this is a issue. Just like you say it's not realistic that teams can snap in 0 seconds, it's not realistic to take 6-7 seconds to get the play in. As one play ends guys are already looking towards the sidelines, not listening out for the QB.

The purpose of hurry up is to not give the D time to make adjustments. That's the whole point of the offense! For some of you to sit and act like this was EA's great plan all along is asinine. Do you really think they waited until the game dropped to deem that as a problem? Especially when you've been able to do this since '11? Give me a freaking break.

Some of you seriously need to understand how football works in some instances.

What happened to Read and React???


I'm doing all I can to keep playing this game man. The deep ball against Cover 2 is still a major problem I cannot overlook. So, my next step...I'm gonna create playbooks for each type of defense and remove all Cover 2 zone plays.


Also, before the patch, QB's would make errant throws all over the field sometimes even with my QB ACC Slider at 100. Now, even with it at 0, the only incompletions I've seen(well 98% of the time) are throw aways and knockdowns. Is this a sign of ROBO QB being back?


I promise you I'll go back to playing offline without the patch before I deal with these new issues! I'm a doo what I can with testing sliders and ratings before I do though.

I have noticed that I've been incredibly efficient throwing the football since the patch. Was 8 of 10 throwing with Denard Robinson in the game I just played, 12 of 15 with Taylor Martinez in the one before that. Not sure if it is QB accuracy having been improved, WR's catching the ball better or the defense just not playing as good of defense but I've thrown 80%+ in every game.

Will be interesting to see how sliders need to be tweaked in existing dynasties.

Something's definitely going to have to be adjusted because passing in general is more accurate.

Yep. It is, go try it. They used to be able to run a no huddle, pause when the play call screen came up, go to formation subs, and switch the defensive field goal block formation top guy to the bottom, resume, and people would automatically be disconnected and get the loss. I was so happy to go online and not have this happen to me tonight and I went in an unranked match to see if they patched it and sure enough, you can't make the sub while in offense. This is probably the saving patch of the recent years so the online leader board cheating didn't get way out of hand.

What every they did to screw up the hurry up offense, they sure as heck didnt take the time out to hault the CPU's use of it.

Yes it was but throws on the run seem a bit more accurate. I'm not sure, I'll keep playing around with it. The run game right now makes me happy, seems like they toned down defensive pursuit as well as the overreaction by the defense to the read option.

The no huddle thing issue has to go and I'm hoping the playbook glitch is just because of the new custom playbook I used.

Big problem for me after downloading.....jumped in to play my next dynasty game right away. As soon as my custom Playbook loaded I hit O to advance. Then I got a black screen! Completely blank!

The BGM played out for a minute or two then nothing. I waited 10 mins to see if the loading screen just disappeared but still nothing.

After I reset my PS3 I tried it again and it worked normally and I played my game. That was just weird though, never saw that before the patch.

I can tell you for sure that the safty defense againts streaks is not fixed. I just threw for over 600 yards with Tyler Tettleton of Ohio. And most of my yards came off streaks to the tightend and somestimes the receivers.
