What stuff did people on here get? I remember getting a NHL mug, a mini hockey statue(though I had to ask for that, cause the store sorta seemed surprised I knew about the promotion..) and for NHL2002, I got a Mario Lemieux card(I never even watched hockey until around 1999/2000, so getting that card, when I wasn't even 10 years old, was real cool)

Promotional Items
Anyone remember when EA Sports used to give out promotional items along with the video game?

Re: Promotional Items
I can't remember ever getting any promotional items similar to those but I've always been a big fan of games with huge game manuals. I always liked the Grand Theft Auto series because they always came with maps of the city and the manual was almost like a tour guide with fake ads that were pretty funny. Unfortunately, manuals these days consist of a couple pages of health and copyright warnings and not much else. Most don't even have the controls listed in them anymore -
Re: Promotional Items
I buy the game in australia. We don't get any promotional gear just odd looks the someone over here would pre order the game

Re: Promotional Items
Only thing I have is a full size Gretzky cut out from the nintendo 64 1998 game. It lives in my gaming and ice hockey watching room.Comment

Re: Promotional Items
Well, every firm used to do this for making a strong image and brand in the market among all the competitors. Yes, it is great to get gifts but its a long time when I got any corporate gift from sports.Comment
