I have been playing on all madden on the new demo and I feel like there is an outrageous amount of drops. Has anyone else noticed this? It happens quite often on wide open routes like slants

Re: Dropped balls
I thought it felt kinda realistic. Maybe a bit much, but pretty close. Guess it depends on what team were talking and exactly who dropped it. Some easy drops a game is common, specially if its Cleveland's receivers, lol.Comment

Re: Dropped balls
It has been said plenty of times, its becasue on All-Madden the user sliders for everything is 25 and the computer is 50. Try messing around with your sliders a little, it should help.Comment

Re: Dropped balls
It's completely unrealistic. I played a game and had over 10 dropped balls in the game. I have no problem with dropped passes if I am getting smacked by Orakpo, but at least half of the dropped passes were dropped with nobody near the receiver.
Put your Player Catch slider higher and it'll fix it. The only problem I have is if you're playing online you will not be able to do this. If we play All-Madden online then we'll be stuck with these drop passes. I really hope EA fixes this before release.Comment

Re: Dropped balls
Anybody who is having trouble with the drops try these settings for the Player skill sliders.
Accuracy 25
Passblocking 15
Catching 35
The gameplay will still be All-Madden but you are eliminating the crazy amount of drops on Default All-Madden. I took 10 points from the pass blocking and added it to the catching which kept the total category at 75 points for All-Madden..Comment

Re: Dropped balls
This is a mixed bag for me because I like the fact that open passes are not automatic catches but I find myself wincing when it happens to me, lol. Overall though I like it and I would rather have it like this than every pass sticking to receivers hands. I've had wide open passes dropped, as well as some catches for and against me made in double, once triple, coverage.
I think the devs read these boards so I hope they don't cave too prematurely to pressure and change it. I think some of it is that we are all so accustomed to success in Madden and when something like a wide open drop happens, it's unexpected and frustrating. It should be improved next year with animations where the receiver is not looking the ball into their hands and maybe the commentators saying something like "the receiver turned up field before securing the catch" or "it looks like the receiver just lost sight of the ball" but I like the premise. Also love the way most of the time when defenders arrive at the same time as the ball, it's incomplete.
Most likely it's a way to balance the improved pass placements which often leave receivers wide open. I would like to see improved pass rush pressure in M14 and have QB AWR and "Senses Pressure" trait effect their THA when under pressure.Comment

Re: Dropped balls
You know I'm all about a challenge and getting the CPU to be competitive but the drops are a little over the top on default All-Madden(against the CPU) but it's an easy fix with sliders along with keeping the gameplay at All-Madden like I explained.. So far the catching at 35 seems much better but I'm still testing it..
On 35, does it still allow for any drops and the ability to jar the ball loose with timed contact or is it the stickum hands of old?Comment

We can only hope for that in next gen though.Comment
