    I just finished a game with the 49ers and Giants with some sliders i just made up and whooped the Giants 35-7. I'll give my sliders another go maybe about 3 or 4 games and make changes as needed. I just wish the difficulty would not change because it DOES seem easier. Before i messed with the sliders besides game speed and threshold my games were good battles but we shall see.

      i have had every edition of madden since day 1 and i played the demo and liked it/ my biggest complaint has been online play and speed. The demo graphics and gameplay are very good can't wait to play with the cowbosys.

        Problem solved.

        The only thing I hate about the demo honestly is the HORRIFIC play calling by the AI.
        3rd and 16 at my 20 their down by 5 the run on both 3rd and 4th for -4 yds.

        That has to be fixed before release. Without a doubt.
        I'm not dropping back 20 yards at all, and why shouldn't a I throw to a receiver that has loose coverage? The gameplay itself is the problem IMO.

          The leading passer was Alex Smith with 138 yards, and the leading rusher was Frank Gore with 122 yards.
          What speed/speed threshold do ya play on?

            I don't think I heard anybody say anthing about th cpu not returning kicks when they are like only 3-5 yards deep in the endzone. They should be running those back. I hope this is addressed in the retail version.

              Without going through 171 pages, does anyone else have the issue where when you base align, the WRs end up WIDE open deep?

              Every single time I base align, the corner runs in soon as ball is hiked even on clear passing play.

                  Madden 13 has officially got my attention. First crack at the physics engine and I thank you for putting it in this build. Gives me hope for the future... without getting into the techincal aspects of the game that has already been covered in this blog, Madden why can't the replay engine match that of NCAA? Much better replays is needed. I hate the same cut scenes over and over again. Capture the story behind the drive in the replays...

                    So I've played the demo more than a few times now and while there are quite a few small things I could touch on that add up to a huge difference (in my mind) I'd like to take the time to just give just one piece that sticks out to me the most.

                    Jim Nantz and Phil Simms.

                    Every madden game I've ever played I've always instantly turned off the commentary. More so over the last two years with the insufferable Chris Collinsworth giving his mentally handicapped drone another breath.

                    So this year I was taken aback by how it actually worked and didn't just sound like total nonsense and garbage.

                    Jim Nantz and Phil Simms aren't my choice for the commentators personally, I'd prefer to hear Kevin Harlan and John Lynch, but even then it's leaps and bounds better than any previous year.

                    This was my surprise with an overall good impression.

                        Haven't seen that at all. I did change (raise) the fumble slider.

                        yeah some tweaks need to happen. But those with retail say it's not as bad.. We'll see.

                        -IE >Players Knee Anatomy and Physiology was not used properly, A humans knees cant bend all the way back in a violent way as i observed while playing MD13 Demo both systems.
                        The knee is the largerst joint in the body and is often the site of pain and injury.The joints is often made up of lower end of femur (thigh bone) and the upper end of the tibia (Shin bone).Now i will try to record a video using my ipad and post it, But Helu falls with his knees bend at 90 degrees already full force bounces on the ground and then guys fall on him. Lol i mean this is krazy a new engine with real physics...

                        Again first year but does need some tweaking. Love it more than what we had.

                        -Is the football spining correctly if your a righthanded QB? i saw some weird spin on a replay that looked reversed.

                        Never paid attention to this and probably never will.

                        -T.O. not in the Demo.... Lol

                          Hmmm, for me I am glad that there are drops and broken up pass on well timed hits, more so than INTs. Although I feel dropping back to pass should have a far better risk/reward balance determined by the QB's ratings, the complexity of the offense and the prowess of the defense, I don't want to see unrealistic INTs.

                          By "unrealistic" I mean, INTs just for the sake of representing a poor QB or to make passing artificially risky. What I want to see is INTs on tipped passes, zone defenders reading the QB's eyes, DBs gambling to jump a route and exceptional man coverage DBs that have the skill set to "become a receiver" when passes are thrown their way like Champ Bailey and Darrelle Revis. The rest of the time, I think the passes should be consistently swatted down and mishandled by defenders because they are not expecting the ball, they are just reacting after the fact.

                          To the demos credit, I did see a defender attempt to jump a route but guessed wrong and I was able to hit my receiver over the top. That was nice.

                            Agree. What I had was blatant "Stupid passes because I'm an idiot" that were right to guys and they dropped them like a brick. Just trying to find the happy medium where picks that should happen, happen. I don't want ever bad throw to be a pick though.

                            I had a really cool one where the CPU threw a deep ball and it was batted when the DB/WR went up for it. The Safety who had came over, dove and picked it off
                            Love seeing that.

                              Why does the game constantly play music in the background when you are under two minutes to go either in the 2nd or 4th quarter?

                                Yeah I know exactly what you mean and I forgot to add, INTs when throwing into a double coverage. I think if they limit the majority of INTs to those situations AND factor in more animations to denote players having to secure the ball for a completed catch/INT, that aspect of the passing game would play out far more realistic.
