The only time I saw this is when the corner is in deep coverage- cover 3 or 4. Man or cover 2 and they played option fine. I have yet to play since the patch. If only EA would fix thisMy biggest complaint since the update is that the corners seem even worse now on options than they were before. Before the update, I could run 10 options and 8 of them the corner would play his position and come up for the tackle. Now, since the patch, I'd honestly flip that and say if I run 10 options, 8 of them are going to see the corner run backwards and out of bounds, leaving me wide open.Comment

I have heard people saying custom stadium sounds are now louder after the patch, so I wouldn't be so sure they didn't adjust crowd noise. Not saying they did, just saying I wouldn't rule it out.Comment

Small sample size, but in my 2 games (started an Air Force dynasty), the gameplay has, by and large, been on point.
Running the option is improved now that the DL play has been tuned. You will still see plays blown up by the DT's, but it's not as frequent and the DE's don't always commit to the RB, which is nice and actually makes you have to read the play.
I've seen some legit bad overthrows by the CPU QB (default Heisman) and was able to ho,d the UMass QB to under 50% completions. Against Michigan (lost 28-10) Robinson scrambled smartly, and also stayed within his range on his throws, as most were 15 yards and in.
Love that the CPU play calling was tuned; seeing a lot less screens and draws.

Fail fail fail. Just played a game against Tulsa. Down three with 5 seconds left on their own 40, the AI called a draw play.

Somewhere deep in my heart, or maybe right on the surface, i hope with everything i have, that EA works with your network, be it psn or xbl, uses your user id , and glitches the hell out of you, and people like you, for the rest of time.What the **** ncaa, this is the worst piece of ****. Is this a joke? The online dynasty is messed up and I can't run a no huddle offense because EVERY ****ING PLAY THE ******* PLAYERS LOOK AT THE SIDELINE!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE ****?!?!?! why is this happening? anyone? anyone?

about safety play... NOT fixed. countless times i am still seeing the safeties jump up on short routes only to let a streaking wr or te run RIGHT by and catch it for 6... this is ridiculous now... how hard is it to program a player to be the deepest man on the field. its his SOLE responsibility as SAFETY. does that word not mean anything?
i know it hasnt been fxed bc when i sim my punt returns (techinically a defensive play) and i go on my next defensive series, i check my gameplan for pass cov and it is switched to aggressive.. thats how i know this has not been fixed within the programming!J-E-T-S

I don't like this patch; aside from the uniform store inclusion.
The defense went from realistic, with some glitches, to psychic and OP. Pre-patch I was able to run the ball and get a variety of gains: (ranging from -5 to 8 yards on a typical/average play, barring a breakaway). Now, post-patch, I get major losses for the vast majority - (ranging from -6 to 2 yards on a typical/average play). I am very lucky to make positive yardage.
The only run plays that work anymore are Iso and Slam. Pre-patch I was able to use them all and at least get somewhat realistic results. Now, when I run a counter (for example) its as if the DL and linebackers know exactly which play I'm running and are there to stop me for a loss every single time.
Oh, you want to run up the middle? Not so fast, there is a free DT waiting for you. Want to run load option? Not so fast, there are 1 LB, 1 CB, and 1 SS there to stop you. Oh, you want to QB Sneak? Too bad, there's a LB already in the backfield after you fake a handoff.
Its ridiculous.Comment

I have actually had a TON more success running the football, especially in the under center option game. The pursuit has slowed a little and the defensive linemen that are able to control 2 gaps or split double teams has really gone down. I'm also not getting stuck on my offensive line as much. The pass defense however HAS become very psychic. I feel like their plan to improve deep ball safety play was to return a lot of the psychic/no look defense that plagued the game last year. By the way, the plan failed, deep ball safety play is still atrocious and the passing game is as easy as ever.Comment

Did this patch really not fix the "stuttering/freezing" that caused the ridiculous ice-skating replay? Because I love important 3rd n Longs late in the season, only for it to hiccup for 5 seconds while I'm getting ready to pass, only to get sacked after the freeze.
But the update did add a store, right?

As far as the game goes, I played a couple of very good games in my dynasty last night on default Heisman. The second game I threw 7 picks, all my fault, and 4 of them came in the 4th when I was trying to go deep as I needed to make up 2 scores. Only 1 of those was a 4 verts call as I try to rarely go to that play knowing the CPU often doesn't defend it well.
It seems to me, as others have pointed out that the deep coverage issues start when the CPU flips its coverage to aggressive and judging from my 2 games, it seems to only happen when the CPU is down as I never noticed it when I was trailing.
Also, during my first game, I got burned a few times by the deep ball. I rarely go to the gameplan adjustments but I decided to go to it and set my zones to conservatives as I thought balanced wasn't cutting it and I discovered that my zone coverage had been switched to aggressive without my knowledge. Switching it back to balanced return the deep coverage to normal (ie decent coverage with the occasional breakdown).
So I'd advise people to keep an eye on their gameplan settings every few plays as it seems the cpu will change them automatically at times.Comment
