To those opposed to a TE going #2 overall, if I were to tell you that you were getting a Jimmy Graham/Gronk type guy would you not take that guy hell even at #1?

To say an elite QB is all the matters is silly, if you can have a guy like Jimmy Graham where in doubt you just throw it 10ft high near him he can grab it that's pretty damn special or a Gronk who'll turn a short pass into a long gain by trucking half the defense, etc.

Have to disagree with Rodgers being one. Look at what Matt Flynn had done with those same receivers in his game against the Lions last year.

Not taking anything away from Rodgers, best QB in the game right now, but I wouldn't say he makes his receivers better. Those receivers themselves are great.

yeah those kind of te only come along every few years..TE normally take longer to progress in the nfl so taking one that high is allways gonna be a risk ... thats why alot of teams look to upgrade that position through free agency ... an if the draft pick pans out goof for you if not he wasnt a high pick an not that much cash invested into him

The draft looks nice, but whats the point of the great feature when you can't edit the draft class and have a bunch of generated players. They make up for it with the unique commentary for each prospect, but the fake players kills the immersion for me a little.

                I hear yeah...kind of.

If the imported draft classes in the past worked correctly I would agree with you 100%. However, they never worked right. Punters were being drafted top 5, equipment was all messed up, ratings kept varying from draft to draft. I just didn't like it, it got old to me. Plus, there were some draft classes where the best WR was projected to go in the 5th round....that NEVER happens.

This new draft experience will make for a much more complete process. I think I'm REALLY going to enjoy it.

                    Looks amazing.

Guys, you gotta remember that it is GM Jeff Ireland who is charge of Dolphins draft picks so I wouldn't be worried about CPU Draft Logic. I think that they have got Ireland's personality into Dolphins' front office.

I was aware of the old problems with importing. I'm implying a option to create your own draft classes similar to what NBA 2K12 has. I know after a few years the generated players become tolerable, but in my first couple of years in CC I would like to have real life big time college prospects in my game. Like Matt Barkley or Montee Ball. It adds to the immersion a lot more for me.

                        Another vid there by MadScientist

I've seen a few of these draft vids there are quite a few questionable picks at the top of each of them.

                        In this one...
                        1st: Cowboys - CB
                        2nd: Bengals - TE
                        4th: Rams - QB

All 3 of them teams have spent recent high draft picks on the positions they took.

Yeah because Dez Bryant has proved to be such an elite WR to this point.

Not really a fan of the draft logic. Teams drafting players at positions they don't need and drafting non-valued positions too high. High Value: QB, LT, Pass Rusher (DE, OLB), CB, WR.
Low Value: FB, Interior Linemen (G, C), TE. Now this doesn't mean there aren't studs at some of those positions it's just they aren't highly valued. That's why the Pouncey twins (centers) go in the teens but, they're studs and everyone knew they would be but, an Andre Smith will go higher even with question marks because he's a tackle.

Also, it puzzles me why some measurables that are readily available after the combine remain hidden in Madden. We know 40 times, bench reps, vert, broad, etc. It's kinda dumb that you have to spend time scouting something that you can just watch the NFL Network to find out. I feel they initially did this because speed was the overriding factor in everything as far as ratings were concerned.

I do not like the loading before each article appears in the menu. It will get annoying, when it could and should be an instant change over.

It is a lot better than Madden 12 but that's not saying a whole lot. I can see Trey Wingo's commentary getting old and recycled by the third year of a "franchise". It is a good step in the right direction but I feel in this day and age it could be so much better than what I see here. There really isn't much difference from years prior, its another boring screen with some added commentary (which sounds forced and isn't very fluid at all). Take a page out of NBA 2k which features a 3D David Stern announcing the draft picks. It was a small addition that immersed you into the game a little bit more. Imagine how much better the experience would be if you had a 3D Goodell walking to the stage of Radio City Music Hall as the fans of Jets and Giants boo him mercifully. Imagine having the top 10 draft picks actually walking to the stage and holding up the jersey of the team that selected them.
