Comparing NCAA vs. the Madden Demo

Having played the Madden demo I feel that NCAA may be the better title this year. I was disappointed with NCAA when it first released but the updates have improved some of the bugs and the gameplay feels somewhat smoother than what I experienced with the Madden demo. Neither game is a perfect simulation but I believe that NCAA provides the better gameplay experience. I don't want to make too many judgements based on a demo but it seems pretty apparent that Madden will launch with some pretty serious flaws.

That's weird. I thought the Madden demo was much cleaner/smoother than NCAA. What major flaws are you seeing?

maybe the demo is better only in terms of cost for the consumer lmao

The game played fast (even with the speed set at SLOW). The players seemed to flop around, it was difficult to control the RB after the hand-off, switching to a defensive player (after the snap) and trying to make a tackle seemed near impossible, and the post-play animations were not immersive. Maybe I'm just too old to respond quickly to the faster gameplay. Seemed sloppy to me.

Funny--a thread that discusses Madden and NCAA football was moved to the "Other Football Games" thread. Are we not allowed to compare the 2 games?

Thats weird, but i feel exactly the same way as the op. i didnt like ncaa at first, but, after playing the madden demo, i know that ncaa is the better game, for me at least. I'm glad someone else feels that way also. I cancelled my madden preorder this weekend because of the way i felt about the 2 games.

The tackling in NCAA looks more authentic with out the look of the players meshing together like in madden. The look of the field goal attempt in NCAA looks clean and madden looks small and dull like it's on the old Xbox. Notice the player models NCAA look detailed and madden looks smaller possibly because of the new engine.
