Madden 12 sucked too and now bear with me

i've been playing Madden since it came in a cardboard box.

So when you have a semi functional pre draft camp as early as MADDEN 95
its kinda hard to accept this BS 15 years later

dont be mad at me because your playing the consumer role of a simple minded easily satisfied loyalist
thats what EA has you on their flow chart as i promise. therefore u get NO advertising/ incentive to buy thrown your way and they may even find a way to charge you ADDITIONAL for the game (season pass)

the only reason EA gets away with this is because people who love football or grew up on QUALITY madden's still buy it. same with basketball, people stopped buying it so they had to make it better or stop making it

Personally I am really excited for this years Madden. The new engine I feel adds a lot and CCM looks like it will add a lot to my gaming experience. I'm bummer we can't edit players but other than that it looks like a fantastic game to me.

Wow................................. SMH. Called imagination okay. The game probably uses a random name and appearance generator. Everyone keeps saying (not saying you are.) that a white WR being drafted first is so unrealistic, so basically there all saying if there was a white WR that ran a 4.3 40 that was 6'4' 230 and absolutly dominated the SEC he wouldn't be drafted high because he was white. Pfft.

Not saying that at all. But a WR hasn't gone number one since 96 I believe so that's unrealistic right there. Secondly as far as a I remember only 2 white WR were drafted in the 1st round in the last 10 years, one of which was QB that was an experiment at WR.

So of course they should be in the game as part of the pre made classes but they should be as rare in the game as they are in real life. The fact is we all watch the games, RB/WR/CB tend to mostly be all black.

O-line, D-line is about 50/50, LB is about 50/50, Safety is mostly black but alot of white guys play it, QB and K/P are mostly white I want these realistic ratios to reflect in the classes the devs make up. I'd love to see more black QBs in the game and even white Rb but since its not happening in the NFL it shouldn't be happening here.

Wow, what a boring guy you are. No imagination what so ever. Also, EVERYONE becomes fake once you start the game. So you were satisfied with that sorry excuse for an import draft class in Madden 12? If so then go ahead and keep playing that came and stop coming here to cry about everything (there are threads for that anyway). Also, let me break down White boy Treon Patrick for you. He's 6"4, 230lbs (a BIG receiver), he was the best WR in the SEC and scored 45 career touchdowns while at Florida. He comes into the NFL and runs a 4.34 40 yard dash and has the best hands out of everyone in the draft. You're the Cowboys, Dez Bryant and Jason Witten both have been released and as a result, you have the #1 pick in the draft. Demarco Murray has turned into a stud, Tony Romo is an elite QB, the offensive line is healthy and the defense has been stellar, all that's missing is a potential #1 wide receiver. Now tell me, WHO are you going to draft with that #1 pick?

Did that happen in this case? Maybe, maybe not. But it's a plausible situation is it not? A WR has been taken #1 overall in the draft before, it can happen again. Besides, it's just a video game......

If wanting realism from a game that has a slogan that implied that it mimics the NFL makes me boring then I wear that with pride. Last WR was taken number 1 was 1996 so white it has happened, it has not happened in well over a decade.

As far me "crying" dude, it called a forums you do know the purpose of forums right? To express opinions, not only the ones YOU want to hear. As far as the part ab out me having no imagination I take that as a good thing.

I want this to mimic real football as much as humanly possible. Using my imagination just lets the devs off for not doing research into the real demographics and draft history of the NFL.

Great post! I could care less if he is white, black, Asian or Hispanic that description you just gave is a beast WR with the potential to be the next Calvin Johnson. Imagine if Carolina said last year, Cam is typically a white guys name and traditionally the greatest QB's of all time have been white so we are going to pass on him.

Stupidest argument ever. IF you said that the panther pass on cam because he's black you might have had some small point but NOBODY is arguing that. My point is that name doesn't fit the player. You can look anywhere and find black people with "white or "normal" names.

You can go to any town in america and find a black person named James Lewis, William Thompson, Andrew Scott etc, but you are going to be hard pressed to find a white kid named Jarmarcus, Vontavious, etc.

You don't see white draft prospects with those kinda names in real life so why insult people's intelligence and have them in this game?

Oh by all means, say what you want, I could really care less, just know that I'm always gonna call someone out. That's what I do when someone criticizes something I'm starting to like. And anyway, I'll say it again, just because it happened a decade ago doesn't mean it can't happen again. A QB threw for 5000 yards ONCE in 20+ years, but in ONE year three people already surpassed it (two of them were extremely close). Now had this happen in a game, you'd be complaining "But blah blah blah not that many QBs would ever throw for 5000 yards in one year blah blah blah" that's how it is, the NFL is always changing.

I will say this again, if you want "realism" then play Madden 12 (if you can deal with those terrible imports and Chris Collinsworth) if you want a good draft class that's immersive then play Madden 13. OR you can go way back and play Madden 07 (the best Madden before 13 came out). Either way, beating a dead horse won't solve anything.

Perhaps we feel uncomfortable because that is what we have been culturally trained to accept. I am inclined, then, to believe that if it makes me feel weird, it is my own problem, and not some arbitrary video game.

I only wish that they could have implemented a draft interface that was identical to Head Coach 09. Is there a better draft in the history of sports video games?

It would also be nice if they also had scouting for the Senior Bowl, Combine, Pro Days and Individual Workouts.
