Official Uniform error list

Here I will list all of the uniform errors in game so that they are known and possibly may become resolved in the future via patch or hopefully uniform store if Madden gets one.

I will be updating this post with whatever any of you guys may have to add that is backed up with factual evidence to this list.


So here are the following inaccuracies:



This is an issue across pretty much all uniforms:
Kerning is not working on any of the jerseys. Basically when a jersey # is made up of two digits with one of them being a #1 they should be much closer together.





Captains patch color issues:

Bills(Should be the same blue as the home jersey on all 2012 jerseys)
Cowboys(Should be dark blue like the away jersey on the 2012 White jersey and 2013 Blue Jersey and 2012 Throwback jersey)
Giants(Should be blue like the jersey on the 2012 Blue jersey)
Rams(Same blue as the jersey on the 2012 Throwback)
Seahawks(Should be grey jersey on the 2012 alternate, wrong blue on 2012 white and 2012 blue)

Captains patch placement issues:

Bengals (2012 Black Jersey, 2012 White jersey, 2012 Orange jersey)
Browns (2012 Brown jersey, 2012 White jersey)
Bucs (2012 Red jersey, 2012 White jersey)
Seahawks (2012 White jersey, 2012 Blue jersey)


Chicago Bears -
On the 2012 Throwback the helmet should not be metallic.
The Nike Navy pants has a squashed and monochrome NFL logo, wrong color belt and crotch seems bleeding through.
The 1985 Away Throwback for the Bears nameplate is the wrong colors.
Nameplate needs to be removed on back of 1960's White jersey.
The 1970's Home Throwback should use white on white shoes.



Cincinnati Bengals -
The NFL logo needs to be lower all Nike jerseys.
The Riddell logo should be Black on the front of all Riddell helmets.
The stripe on the side down the jersey is too wide on the black and orange jerseys.



Buffalo Bills -
The collar on the Away jersey should have a thinner blue stripe and thinner black stripe allowing for a thicker red stripe.
The stripes on need to be truncated on the sleeveless options.
The jersey template should use the Cowboys Blue jersey template.
There should be a navy blue outline around all numbers on Home and Away jersey.
The nameplate on the Away jersey should not have a red outline.
The Pants stripes on the blue pants are placed in the wrong spot.
The Bills logos on the pants are too low.


Cleveland Browns -
Home and Away jersey uses the wrong uniform template, should be the same template the Cowboys use.
Need metallic sheen removed from white pants.
The sleeve stripes should be truncated on the tucked sleeve version, they do not go under the sleeve and should be higher up.
Missing the Brown pants.



Tampa Bay Buccaneers -

Home and Away uniforms are paired with the wrong color socks.
Home and Away jersey uses the wrong uniform template, should be the same template the Cowboys use.
The 2012 Throwback is on the incorrect template, it does not use the new nike template.


Kansas City Chiefs -
The Pants stripes on the white pants are incorrect.


Indianapolis Colts -
Helmet logo is slightly too large.
Numbers on the front of the jerseys are too high up and too big on all Nike jerseys.



Dallas Cowboys -
All data missing on the long sleeves option on the 2012 Away jersey.
Nike logos too small on all sleeve options on 2012 Throwback jersey.
Cowboys wordmark has changed on the 2012 blue jersey
Metallic Sheen needs to be removed from 2012 Throwback pants.
The color used for all Team Color(TC) equipment should be the same blue as the jersey numbers.


Miami Dolphins -
Metallic Sheen needs to be removed from pants.


Philly Eagles -
Helmet stripes are wrong on the 1930's yellow helmet.


San Fransisco 49ers -
Incorrect color gold for the pants, should be a more flat browner gold.


New York Giants -
Metallic Sheen needs to be removed from pants.


Jacksonville Jaguars -
Extra outline around shoulder numbers on all 3 2013 jerseys.


New York Jets -
Jersey uses the wrong uniform template, should be the same template the Cowboys use.
The under side of the sleeve should be green on the home jersey and white on the away jersey.
Numbers on the front of the jerseys need to be moved up they are too low.



Detroit Lions -
Numbers on the front of the jerseys are too big on all Nike jerseys.
Stripes should be thicker on the Nike pants.
1997 Uniform has the wrong NFL logo on jersey and pants.
1997 uniform missing Lions logo on back of Riddell helmets.
1997 Helmet numbers are in the wrong spot and color.
1997 pants are white, should be silver.


Green Bay Packers -
Missing 2013 Alternate uniform option with All yellow helmet.


Carolina Panthers -
Metallic Sheen needs to be removed from 2012 White pants.
2012 Blue jersey should be a lighter color like the 2011 jersey.



New England Patriots -
The stripe down the side of the jersey should be thinner.
Sleeve stripe should come more onto the shoulder allowing for much larger shoulder numbers



St Louis Rams -
The Numbers and the Rams logo and numbers should be higher up on the Home and Away jersey.
There is white on the bottom of the sleeve that shouldn't be there on the Away jersey when using standard sleeves.
On the 2012 Throwback the White and blue stripes should all be the same width.(The blue stripes should be thicker.
All Blue Alternate should be paired with the white with team colored shoes.


Baltimore Ravens -
The numbers on the front of all Nike jerseys are too large.



Washington Redskins -
The Yellow pants need to be updated to the Nike template along with correct logos.
The Facemask on the 2012 Throwback should be black not brown.
The 2012 throwback uniform is missing nike and team logos on some sleeve options.
The 2012 throwback jersey color is off, it should be little more darker/purple.
The Logo used on the sleeves of the 2012 Throwback uniform is the wrong logo.
The numbers should be higher up on the 2012 Throwback jersey.
The Arrow on the 60's Throwback pants should be the same as the shoulder sleeve
On the 60's Throwback the Gold on pants and socks should be a darker yellowish gold.
2013 Alternate using current helmet is not selectable as a uniform option.



Seattle Seahawks -
Numbers on the front of the grey jersey is too small.



Tennessee Titans -
Stripe colors are in incorrect order on the 2012 white pants.


Houston Texans -
Long sleeves are missing data on the 2012 Alternate.


Minnesota Vikings -
The Pants stripe on 2013 White pants should fill up the entire vented area along the side of the pants moving the yellow stripe closer to the front of the pants.
Jersey uses the wrong uniform template, should be the same template the Cowboys use.
Number font is incorrect.
Sock height doesn't work.

Gold color of 49ers is not correct
Red and White stripes on sides of pants on 49ers is not correct, white is way to thick.

Neither of those real world photos are from this year with the nike uniforms.

And here's the OP from that other thread incase anyone has trouble with the link:

In the vids I've seen so far, there are some serious problems with the Panthers uniforms in M13.

In the pregame vid, the shoulder stripes on Cam's uniform and Chris Gamble's uniform appear to be more a part of the sleeve and it looks really odd when a player moves him arms. (see first set of screens below)

In the CC vid, it shows a Panthers player with the sleeveless look, but unlike last year and the year before, the size of the shoulder stripes is not reduced to make room for the logo on the sleeves to be displayed. (see second set of screens below with DeAngelo Williams)

EA had the Panthers uniforms perfect in M11 and M12... hoping this is just a WIP thing, but I'm getting nervous!

EDIT: Here are some screens I just captured showing examples of what is wrong with the full sleeves look:





Notice that in both pics, the back of the shoulder stripe is attached to the sleeve itself creating a really awkward effect when the player moves his arms... I'm going to be really shocked and disappointed if the game ships with such an obvious uniform flaw that did not exist in M12.

Here's another pic showing how the back of the shoulder stripe is a part of the sleeve:



I've seen pics of several Panthers players wearing the "new" Nike jerseys and I can tell you that the back of the shoulder stripe is not a part of the sleeve. All they need to do is make the shoulder stripes exactly like they were on the reebok jerseys in M12, the only change is that the stripe no longer wraps all the way around the shoulder (in the armpit) when the jersey has full sleeves.

Here's a screen showing the problem with the "sleeveless" look:



Notice that there is no longer any room for the Panthers logo to display on the sleeve. In M11 and M12, when you switched a Panthers player to sleeveless it would reduce the thickness of the shoulder stripe to shorter the sleeve so the logo still had room to be displayed just as IRL.

Here's how the sleeveless Nike jersey actually looks on DeAngelo:



They had this right in Madden 11 and 12, here's a screen showing how the "sleeveless" jersey looked in Madden 12 and how it should still look in Madden 13:



Understand that I play as the Panthers 99.9% of the time I play Madden, so when something is wrong with the uniforms it really eats away at me.

One more thing I would mention is that the collar seems to be way too wide, when you compare the in game screen of Cam to the real life picture of DeAngelo. The NFL logo is only attached to part of the collar in the real picture of DeAngelo, but it is almost enclosed by the collar in the in game screen of Cam. I suspect this has something to do with the fact that the Panthers opted out of the flywire collar.

In a recently released video showing all the uniform options for each team, I've also discovered that they have the colors of the shoulder stripes on the 2012 away uniform wrong... the stripes are supposed to be blue with a black border but the screenshot below shows they are black with a blue border:

Ravens white pants have incorrect color order/pattern on the striping.

Stripe should be black on outsides with purple in the middle

Oh, I understand. I could not imagine if they got the Bears jersey wrong. I'm just happy that I can choose not to wear those hideous orange pants. But if their jersey was flat out wrong, well, that would almost make me not want to buy the game.

I know it's only one team, but if they're your team, then it's a big problem.

I'm not a 9er fan, but I do hope they someday fix the helmet color. It's just not gold enough and looks washed out.

Anyway, two quick things for the Browns.

1) Numbers on the front of the jersey, like the Vikings, are too big.

2) For some reason, EA gives the Browns the alternate brown pants. That's cool and all, but hardly been worn much through their history. They really need to add the orange pants, which have been worn not only in their recent history, but in the 70s and 80s, too.

Not so much an error but a request! The cardinals really have no white jersey in the game since our new whites have lots of red in the shoulder.

Please add in the white jerseys with the AZ flag from 2001 with the red stripped pants!!!!
