Re: Madden NFL 13 Video - Live Draft in Connected Careers Mode
Out of the three videos posted, all I've seen is several flaws in the draft logic. Maybe I've become to cynical to be imaginative in my old age, but this is extremely disappointing to see. I'll give them credit for the presentation, but I'd rather have effective drafting than Trey talking about picks. Clearly, I'm in the minority, but hey.
They really should bring back the Coach/GM/Owner logic that was implelented into HC '09. Would do WONDERS for this promising mode. Maybe next year?
EDIT: I just saw the fourth straight video where a TE is taken #2, clearly this is a glitch.Last edited by ChrisHewy; 08-21-2012, 02:28 PM.Comment

That video pretty much confirms my biggest annoyance with Madden 12, the draft classes continue to be flooded with players from non FBS schools. In Madden 12 I could at least go in and change it on my own. Just from watching that video I noticed the following schools have players in the draft, some of them have multiple players:That all depends on how you use your XP. You may find out early in the process that you don't like a certain guy and can move on to the next player, while other guys you may need to spend more on. It'll be important to scout the attributes you value so you can decide whether they are worth it early in the process... Oh, and if you haven't seen it already:

I am sure I missed some too. Its a minor gripe but it kills the authenticity of the game when I see more players from Division 2 schools than the SEC.Comment

Yeah I can agree with you on that one, way too many lower schools that appear to be highly touted draft selections. I see that most of the QBs are from FBS schools, but when you look at the OL most of them are from FCS or Division 2 schools. That's kind of always been a flaw with Madden's precreated draft class (and every other game for that matter)That video pretty much confirms my biggest annoyance with Madden 12, the draft classes continue to be flooded with players from non FBS schools. I agree that it doesn't quite reflect how things really play out IRL. I didn't pay attention, but are there a lot of these schools but were they projected high draft picks? Also, keep in mind that they intentionally made the draft classes larger so there were real UDFAs so they didn't have magic ones show up to fill our rosters. The players from the draft class that don't get drafted go to the FA pool and we get to sign them... that's usually when most of the DII players get picked up.That video pretty much confirms my biggest annoyance with Madden 12, the draft classes continue to be flooded with players from non FBS schools. Will you be able to transfer draft classes from ncaa 13? Do they still have that option? If so i wonder how much that changes the dynamic of this feature. I don't own Ncaa13 but i would def Gamefly it to upload real name college rosters, make a couple of draft classes and do a Madden franchise... would be nice to have the drafts conducted like this with real named college players. Any body think these options are possible... wasn't gonna get Madden 13 but this increases the chances when its more subversive.Comment

I can deal with the FCS schools like Deleware, App State etc. because they usually have 10-15 guys selected in the later rounds of the draft but I have a real problem when I see schools from Division 2 and 3 on that list, each year over 1400 FBS players are declared eligible for the NFL Draft, 250-270 are selected (depending on compensatory picks). The chances of a guy even being on a teams radar let alone their draft boards is astronomical. Danny Woodhead broke every single rushing record in NCAA history and wasn't even a blip on 31 NFL teams radar so I find it hard to believe that this many players from Div 2 and 3 would even be signed as UDFA's. It is a small gripe but for a game that prides itself on realism this shouldn't be such an issue. And it makes me start to wonder if this small issue was left untouched from Madden 12, what else was carried over?I agree that it doesn't quite reflect how things really play out IRL. Re: Madden NFL 13 Video - Live Draft in Connected Careers Mode
if this is true, that the 2nd pick = TE everytime, I hope that there is a gamechanger or someone who can somehow alert Looman about this.
its a massive fail if a team needing a qb at pick 2 goes TE because of a glitch. hope thats a day 1 fix.360-Chiefs-)Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Video - Live Draft in Connected Careers Mode
Why would the 2nd pick be a tight end everytime? Is there evidence of that in the retail game?Comment
